Jordan Zimmermann has been scratched from tonight's start; the Nats just announced that Ross Detwiler will get the call tonight against the Reds. The team provided no initial reason for the swap, but we'll know more within the hour, once the clubhouse media availability begins.

Without Zimmermann, the Nats' rotation for this series against the Reds goes as follows:

Tonight -- Detwiler

Wednesday -- Shairon Martis

Thursday -- John Lannan

The news with Jordan Zimmermann is a bit disconcerting, but for now, the team is insisting there's no concern. The rookie starter felt some elbow soreness during his bullpen session on Friday. But he's scheduled to pitch now on Saturday. Basically, he's skipping one turn in the rotation.

Also, Manny Acta said today that Josh Willingham (viral infection) should be back in the lineup tomorrow. And when he returns, he'll be (drumroll...) in rightfield. He, not Austin Kearns, will get most of the plate appearances. And Adam Dunn, who has been shuffled around, will now be playing strictly in left.

Tonight's lineups...

Cincinnati

Taveras - 8
Hairston - 5
Phillips - 4
Hernandez - 3
Gomes - 7
Bruce - 9
Gonzalez - 6
Hanigan - 2
Cueto - 1

Washington

Guzman - 6
Johnson - 3
Zimmerman - 5
Dunn - 7
Dukes - 9
Harris - 8
Hernandez - 4
Bard - 2
Detwiler - 1

So who will face Garza?
Or will Tampa Bay throw in some slug to try and be more competitive?

Maybe Zimmermann

Washington's pitcher for Friday in Tampa Bay (and against Garza) will be Craig Stammer.

Stammer has 4 starts and is 0-2 with a 6.45 ERA.

He had a promising start in Triple-A this season, but has been consistently knocked around since getting called up.

He lost his last outing on Sunday to the Mets, 7-0.
