I tend to agree with Rex. I attended the game up here and it was the usual dog fight that these two teams produce. Without looking up the stats, I keenly recall that there was a huge free throw discrepancy in favor of the Zips despite the fact that the Redhawks were the stronger team inside and had a big rebounding edge. Miami also got absolutely nothing out of Peavy that night and could not buy a 3 ball all night. Despite this, they were right there until the final moments losing by 6 or 7 points.
I would not read too much into Nevada's thrashing of the Zips last Friday. Akron came out very tight, and the Wolfpack played just about a perfect game against them. The Zips will shrug that one off and play their asses off tonight much like they did after getting beat by Louisville earlier this year.
I still don't think they have enough to go down and win at Oxford, and can't recall the last time they did. The Redhawks should be inspired to put forth their best effort tonight, in what should be a war to say the least.
