I didn't see the game until the last couple minutes. But Colorado was handling them all game long, and then they tightened up and made some mistakes towards the finish. Arizona tied it up with like 12 seconds left. Colorado banked in a 3 at the buzzer that the officials counted. Then they go to the monitor because it was as close as it gets whether he got the shot off in time. The back view looked like maybe he didn't, but that was a bad angle. The side view CLEARLY showed he got it off with 0.1 left, but somehow they waived the shot off. Colorado folded in OT.

but did they actually call it good on the court???

i saw the espn game score give col 3 but i never saw an official signal good or not, they just went straight to the monitor.

one angle looked no good, another angle looked good.....one angle had ball in hand with .01 another angle had ball out with .00

tough call and what they called on court should have stayed BUT.......i really dont think any of those 3 made a call

No offense, but are you sure you aren't a little biased here? The back view only made it look like it was still in his hands because of the angle. The side angle CLEARLY showed it was out of his hands. Horrible, horrible call.

gjn actually has a couple of valid points. Just watched the replay. Neither of the two refs up top that put one arm up to single a 3 point attempt, put the other up to single a 3 point make. Also often when a shot beats a buzzer the ref will single emphatically throwing his arm down that it counted, like an 'and 1' play. However, often when a basket doesn't count they emphatically wave their arms like a baseball ump singling safe to say it wasn't good and wave it off.

I think no one on the court called it good and the video was inconclusive in their minds. I think it just got out of his hands in time, but you can tell the clocks weren't synched up as it is closer in the far baseline view compared to the sideline view.

rewatched it

1) no call was made on the court
2) one view had clock above basket at 0 with ball slightly out of hand (clock provided by espn was .01 off)
3) another view had ball in hand with .01 on clock above basket
4) see point 1

no call was made on the court so they had nothing to "overturn" they just had to make a call with 2 different views at seperate times

my biased view also thinks col has a 10 point lead with 1:50 left and gagged and also saw a terrible call against arizona down 3 giving col 2 ft's off a slip/breakaway layup to cut to 1 with 45 secs left

it was col game to win....they didnt and they had more to do with it than the refs

Yes, Colorado is more to blame than the refs. They are a young team that will learn from this and move on. However, just because a young team cracks under the pressure of a hostile road environment does not mean that the refs should be let off the hook. If you were on the other end of that bad call, you would be screaming bloody murder.

Bottom line is that the bad call will make us some money as this #3 :142smilie team will continue to have inflated lines.

think col missed 5 ft's in the last 90 secs and had 2 turnovers AND got a gift of a foul call on a slip/breakaway layup..........they also still had 5 mins to win the game and didnt.

i still say looking at the replay they made the right call (and the ncaa director of refs said the same thing)

as for the over-inflated lines for #3 arizona.....you do realize they are 8-4 ats this year???? not too bad.

Please get it right:

It is either #3:142smilie Arizona

or

#3* Arizona

That is certainly an impressive record against the spread considering the BRUTAL non-conference schedule they had. They have certainly played well thus far, but they will be one and done in the tourney unless they get a lucky draw.

Foul shooting cost CU big time--you always have to realize you will get screwed on the road in thePAC 10 if the game is close at the end.

Memo to Head Coach for Colorado:

Draw up some fukin out of bounds play to get the ball inbounded. The get open anyway you can play does not work. Your at fault just as the players are. Plus you were celebrating with 4 mins left like you had won a National Chanpionship

Today in practice work out out of bounds plays.

That is an absolutely horrible hose job. I am so glad I just played the Buffs with the spread. How the hell can you see that side view and wave it off?!?!?! Even if Arizona wins this, they are still a compete fraud. Kansas crushed Colorado. They could have won by 50 if they didn't pull all the starters with 10 minutes left in the game.

your who beat who comparison is a ridiculous argument especially in college basketball.

Kansas BARELY beat Oregon State, who in turn lost AT HOME to Towson, who has lost to the likes of Coppin State and UMBC.

Kansas only beat Oregon St by 2 more baskets than Towson and Towson did it in a true road environment @ Oregon State, so should we peg these two as pretty even?

The who beat who comparisons are terrible.

Not ridiculous at all. That Kansas game against Oregon State was before they had gelled to form the juggernaut they are now. If they played again, Kansas would blow them out of the water. The who beat who comparisons are useful if you know how to look at them. And it's much more about the eye test for me than who beat who, and my eyes tells me that Arizona is a joke at #3.

Really?

That Oregon State game was 9 days before the Colorado game you were thumping your chest about.

Kansas is a pretty good team but the constant jerking off of them by you is getting old when they really have beat Ohio State and not much else.

Actually, what gets old around here is your constant negativity on every single forum on this site. You might want to try some positivity once in a while. :sadwave:

:0002

if you take it as negativity I guess you are a glass half empty type person.

you bash everything from a guys nickname to anything getting a higher rank or more praise that week than Kansas. and you argued for like 3 days about how much a surgeon makes.

god forbid someone disagrees with you that the 2012-2013 Kansas Jayhawks are the greatest team to ever grace a basketball court.

you get butt hurt when your own flawed logic is used against you. :142smilie

does it make you feel better that there were 2+ more angles that weren't shown by espn that the refs had access to which led to them making the "correct call" as per the pac-12 and ncaa

I'm over it. I WON on that game. I just felt bad for those Colorado kids who won a game in a tough spot on the road, but then had it pulled away from them. You don't need to continue to justify how your team stole a win. It happens. These things even out over time. It's over. Let's move on.

lots of comedy in that statement:

col didnt win the game

az didnt steal anything, last i checked it wasnt sean miller looking at the replay monitor making the call

and from what i recall.....there were still 5 minutes left in a TIE game.....if col wanted to win, they still had time on their side....instead they jacked up horrid shot after horrid shot in ot.

for you're sake, i hope you're taking utah +18 today since it's easy cash betting against an over-rated over-inflated line team like arizona.
