6-8 bone in pork chops
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 can (larger, family size) cream of chicken soup

throw it together, that's all folks.

note, you can use boneless chops, but by the time 4-6 hrs are up, the bones come off anyways, so why not add a little extra flavor.

A slight change to your recipe I add instead of onion soup actual sliced onions on top of the porkchops..Also put a cup of ketchup and 3 tablespoons of worchester sauce per 10.5 ounces of cream of chicken..mix the sauces together and put in sauce pan in oven at 400 for an hour (roughly).I cover dish with aluminum foil.I coat the chops with the sauce before putting in oven.

did a variation of this over the weekend. Had some Apple Hickory BBQ sauce that was real thick, almost like a chutney/bbq mix with how chunky the apples were. Threw the pork chops in the crock pot with the sauce and just let it go.

You can also do it with just a regular bbq sauce and cut up an apple (a good baking/cooking one) and throw it all in the crock pot together.

What heat setting? I am assuming low, but you never know.

if you have the time put it on low and let it go longer to have them absorb more of the flavor. I've done it on high for a shorter time frame, but a tad better if you can do it the other way.

amazing. Haven't seen this thread until just now, but this is whats in our crock pot for dinner tonight....:toast:

They were in the crock pot on low for 8 hours and the pork fell off the bone...
I served them with some wild rice on the side...very tasty and it takes all of 3 minutes to put together in the morning....:SIB

AWESOME

now more words..
did 4 chops..I did a total of 5 hours
w/the one can and one bag

another hour and the chops would have not stayed on the fork..which I will try next week.

I will add a small sliced onion the next time as well.

what an easy meal to make..

Bought a pork loin today and sliced off 2- 2" pieces.
Was also thinking about an onion and since 5 hours worked for you that's what it will be!

Update Sunday!

Morris,

Good luck. Really is so easy, but so damn good as well. I also like it over egg noodles.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you re: smoker. Been busy at work, and gotta figure out $ re: shipping.

I do this too, but I use cream of mushroom soup, and I coat each pork chop with Morton Nature's Seasons (this is some terrific easy stuf to cook with. goes with everything) as I do about everything I cook. Super easy and tasty. I usually serve with vegetables and mashed potatoes.
