I will start this thread every morning or late night prior.

Please make one selection only, your very best play of the day.

Analysis is encouraged but not required.

Each day when you make your selection, update your own record from the day before. Always keep a daily running report of your record for your picks in this thread only (not picks from a different thread.

All picks are for one unit and are to win $100 on favorites and +whatever on dogs, so post your unit total with your pick record.

If you can break down you record with Favorites, Dogs, and Totals, that would be great too but not required.

There will be prizes, to be determined later, at the end of each calender month.

Let's band together like never before and kick the man's ass in this year. I know this will be a very productive thread if we can get everybody's help.

Just a gut call. While I don't think Loaiza is the pitcher he played like last season, he's generally been very good in April and May. Sox bats weren't the problem on Monday; the bullpen was. If Loaiza can give them 7-8 innings, the Sox should win. Pretty solid price on this matchup.

Kind of hate going with a team thats looking to sweep but I just can't pass up the numbers in this matchup.

FLORIDA is 68-30 at home when the total is 8 to 8.5 over the last three years.

FLORIDA is 102-62 when the total is 8 to 8.5 over the last three years.

I know new teams have new players but the trends have been good to me so far this year.

FLORIDA is 62-44 (+16.9 Units) against MONTREAL since 1997.
FLORIDA is 23-15 (+7.5 Units) against MONTREAL over the last 3 seasons.
FLORIDA is 33-20 (+7.9 Units) against MONTREAL since 1997 at home.
FLORIDA is 13-6 (+5.6 Units) against MONTREAL over the last 3 seasons at home.

I love the pitching matchup as well.

VARGAS is 1-2 when starting against FLORIDA since 97.
PENNY is 10-2 when starting against MONTREAL since 97.

necessary caveat: im one of those guys who will back certain pitchers throughout the course of the season. bonderman is one of those guys that im probably gonna end up backing quite often. he got thrown into the fire last season and its only gonna help him. he has a chance to be one of the best young pitchers in the american league. filthy slider and lots of movement on all his stuff. and tigers seem dead set on 162-0.
