Al,

I understand what you're saying, man. He definitely has a certain 'undercurrent' at times. Was just having some fun(?) because you're such a nice and laid back guy and your post cracked me up.

Damn, I could be quoted as saying this a few times over the last several months.

Everyone keeps bringing up "dropping water and supplies" in. Has anyone stopped to think about what kind of chaos/riots this would have caused? Desperate people for necessities that haven't slept decently in days who have just lost everything.

Your solution is to "drop some supplies" to them, and you think that is not going cause MAJOR problems? I think that would have caused more deaths than them not getting items for a few days. That's just an opinion, though.

I think you're in the wrong thread, but they didn't even HAVE to drop anything in. Where the majority of the people were superdome/I-10 overpass, there was road access. How can the Superdome be designated as a shelter for 25k people with NO plans already established to get them food or water for four or five days days.

That said, I don't think leaving people in 95 degree weather for 4 days with no food or water on an overpass is the preferable option, even if there was a chance of disorder. The people in the Superdome couldn't leave, so if there were any relief workers in the friggin' city within the first four days, they could have distributed it just like they do after any other disaster.

There would not be riots over the supplies on the overpass or anywhere else if there was any security showing up in the first 4 or 5 days.

All I know is AR wasn't molly coddled.

I still think Ben Stein has become pretty much a partisan tool. Good guy though.

This is exactly why I hardly ever post on Madjacks anymore. I used to enjoy the politics forum but it's assholes like Ocelot have made it miserable. Way too much negativity, anger and ignorance. You can't even carry on a civilized debate without the guy calling you names, making up lies, spreading negative propoganda or slamming George Bush 383 times a day. I mean....seriously....why would anyone want to go through life whing and complaining, calling people names, and pointing fingers all the time???

Jack...please clean up this shop so it doesn't keep the customers away. Remember the old days? This website used to be fun and friendly. Now it's too much negative bullshit all the time. USE THAT AXE!! (especially on the racist's like Ocelot)

Yes, indeed. We should be more like CHARLESMANSON - the poster child for optimism.

What negativity do I ever bring up? I love my country andf always support it's leaders. You liberals are the ones crying all the time, not me. Just because I'm a republican doesnt mean I am negative. Quit being so partisan. (see what i mean about the negativity in here? lol)
i rest my case

You liberals must have an alarm or a bell on your computer that goes off when Manson creates a post. I've been gone a month and it took you liberals no less than 2 minutes to come in and attack me. Nice life.
