I will tell you why. We all know Navy has one of the worst schedules in D1. But its worse than even I thought.

Navy played two types of teams this year: Legitimate programs and NCAA doormats. The legitimate programs:

ND, Stanford, Maryland, and Rutgers. These teams went a combined 26-18, and 2 of them will be in bowl games. The other two wouldve been bowl eligible if they had won one more game. Navy went 0-4 against these teams.

The NCAA doormats:

Temple, Kent St., Army, Rice, Tulane, Air Force, and Duke. Words can not describe how awful these teams are, seriously.
One team didnt win ONE SINGLE GAME all year. THREE of them only won ONE GAME!
ONE team only had TWO wins!
These 5 teams combined for a 5-50 RECORD!!!!

The other two "all-stars" went a combined 8-14, truly nothing to boast about either.

No disrespect to Navy's program. They had a great season, and any team that wins 7 games should be proud of what they've done. But if they were in a conference, they wouldnt be in a bowl game this season.
You cant tell me a team is legitimate when their "best wins" are against Army and Air Force.

In an equally as disgusting statistic, CSU has been outscored by opponents this season.

Maybe I will just play the UNDER!

Whenever two bad teams hook up, the scoring seems to be at a premium. See: Packers vs. Lions

D,
Both dogs tonight are going to be very big plays for me. Waiting as long as I can for the best number as public percentages continue to rise on the side of the chalk. I see 8' already for Cal/Byu.
gl, bro...

Derek,

ND Grad (66) here! Always enjoy your threads! BTW can you run a PS2 on these games, my experience in the past has proven these to be very accurate!

Merry Christmas!

Funny you should ask. See Socrstd's thread about "utep tol total play". First I was just messing around, but SMU won by 12, and Toledo won by 10, so now, being the supersticious person that I am, I'm beginning to take it seriously! Kinda! :mj07:

Anyway, Cal beat BYU by 14
Navy won 16-14.

Merry xmas to you as well. Good to see fellow alum on here, as always.

Seems to damn obvious to me to play Navy...Vegas can't be that dumb to put them such small fav's and you have Col St. one of the worst rush defenses and we all know Navy is top in rushing. I think the QB for Col st. is a gamer and I also like the RB's they have....OVER seems the logical play maybe. GL!

I havent made a play yet. May just play the UNDER. If Navy wins, it will be cuz CSU cant keep up with them, OR a complete garbage game. I dont think CSU can keep up, but they could pull out a klanker in a garbage game. So either way, not sure how this one gets to 61??

GL on your play Socrstud, I havent made a play yet, but even if I do, yours is bigger than any play i'll make on it, so I wish you the best my man!

Exactly. I hate reading too much into a line, but if Navy was gonna be favored, it shoulda been a little more than 3, say 5 or 6. Vegas doesnt give away free points. Only thing I can think of is that it was set that low to attract Navy money, thinking that trends, poor SOS etc would attract alot of money to CSU if the line was higher.

All in all, doesnt realy help us figure out who will win tonight!

D remeber the Navy Army game, I think CSU is a little better than army with a better QB and RB but the line started out at like 3 or something and jumped to 6....Same thing with this game, started out at -1 Navy and looks like it may top out at around 3.5.....I just thought of that and I think the money was on Navy that game too...

Agree on the under. Navy plays the bone. I know this is not a newsflash but... tried & true.. If the big schools thought they could attract the offensive speedmerchants, they would still be playing it with modifications. Navy should win conviningly unless they fumble.
