that we actually have people this tragically dumb in our country:

From a new Harris Poll: "About 22% of U.S. adults believe Saddam Hussein helped plan 9/11, the poll shows, and 26% believe Iraq had weapons of mass destruction when the U.S. invaded. Another 24% believe several of the 9/11 hijackers were Iraqis."

Cheney still thinks Saddam helped plan 9/11. He should stay in his bunker.

Yes I do, and the first war lesson is that it's spelled STRATEGY there is no A as both you and Manson both spell the word (wink, wink, I wont tell) wrong. Coming from the dumbest moron on this site, I would have to take this as a compliment! Then again I am like Palehose still waiting for the Contra's to overthrow the Sandinistas in Iran. That great battle in Tehran between General Ortega and General Ruben was an epic battle and still to this day is lampooned as the greatest battle in Iranian history. As the Contra's stormed the capital city of Iran our leader Ronald Reagan proclaimed , "our brothers, these freedom fighters and we owe them our help. They are the moral equal of our founding fathers." when describing these Iranian fighters.

I guess I'm one of the tragically dumb also. There is so much desert over there, who knows for sure? Well except for some in this forum I guess. I just don't know having never been in Iraq before. I know we just found another mass grave recently. What else may be buried? I'm sure some of you know for sure. I can only hope to one day be as certain as you about everthing Saddam did and did not do. I just don't think anyone can be absolutely in the know as to everything regardless what all the journalists think. I know the hijackers nationality has been identified so I'm not in that tragically dumb 24% at least. There must be hope for me. :mj14:

AR,

Nope, I think the text is perhaps a little skewed when it is not given with the whole article which was too long to post. They are implying that people still believe that Iraq currently has them, not before the occupancy. I would tend to think that nearly 90% of Americans believed that he had weapons before the invasion, but now they should realize that he either never had them or else he did one hell of a job getting them out the country under the watch of Satellites. I just find it amazing that after almost 5 years people think that Saddam had something to do with 9/11 or that any of the attackers were from Iraq. I know that Dick Cheney more than likely believes that, but don't these people read magazines, newspapers, watch tv, listen to the radio or surf the net? AR, sorry u took it the wrong way, since you are by far one of the brightest guys on this site!

mc...

i didn't take your post the wrong way....so there is no need to apologize...i was just trying to be sarcastic....but i appredciate the gesture....i understand it's a tough subject where people's emotions come out....

i'll give you another one....

although i don't believe he had anything to do with 9/11....i do believe that he willingly helped & aided terrorists....maybe not osama & his crew...but his cousins who believe in the same things that osama does....

Pirates won in 1979, its been awhile and the way baseball is now a days, they'll never afford the talent to compete. They bring up the prospects then lose them to big market teams. Indians look good this year after a nice run at the end with a young team.At least you got something to look forward to, I hoping for fourth place in the division, who cares. :s4:

Amazing how someone can kill hundreds of thousands of people with WMD's yet only 26% of the country is smart enough to realize he probably still has them ...talk about stupid ....what part of the thousands of dead by WMD's dont they get ????

I guess this is what the left has to resort to being that so far Iraq has been a huge success proven by the elections alone .

Pirate Fan,

I am under the impression that the Pirate's farm system is loaded and is considered one of the best in baseball with a ton of young pitching, so the future should improve. I know you guys drafted John VanBenschoten from Kent State and he was one hell of a player.

Of course, it's ok for the US to use WMD's/chemical weapons in our war against terrorism, in the same war we supposedly were going to disarm a country of because people are not supposed to use them against humanity.

Whether you believe Saddam had WMD's and that is why we invaded his country - the main reason we were given for going there, mind you - the simple FACT is we have not discovered any. That is a paintbrush comment, of course, there might be a story here or there (that the administration probably bought and paid for) that said we might have found something. But for you righties to say that those who merely ask to be shown the WMD's are stupid really avoid the point. Don't you think that with the intelligence machine we have that this administration could have come up with SOMETHING that proves it? Seriously, dudes, you gotta do better than that if you are going to call us stupid.

The bottom line is, with the complete lack of proof or evidence other than past usage (thanks to supply from the US, mind you...), it's kind of simple to think that Saddam could have used his STOCKPILES of WMD's to strike the US. To go from stockpiles to nopiles is a stretch, don't you think?

I think a simple question to ask Rumsfeld would be: where are the WMD's that you knew the locations of? Did our billion dollar satellite systems that took all those pictures when they supposedly there just miss the big move? Or were all of those huge stockpiles moved in that group of trucks that one day - WHEN WE WERE ALL AROUND AND IN THAT COUNTRY WITH THE SATELLITES WORKING AND WE SUPPOSEDLY KNEW WHERE THEY WERE TO BEGIN WITH.

Simple logic dictates that you have to show proof of something to prove its existence. Or at least show an efffect of something on something else to show possible proof. We're not talking about years ago...we are talking about when we invaded.

The inspectors were there for a very long time. They said nothing was there. They were given a lot of lattitude to look around. I'm sure they had a hard time getting everywhere, but if there were so many, I would think SOMETHING would turn up. Our satellites were taking pictures every hour on the hour, most likely. Again...nothing.

All I have ever seen as supposed proof at the time of our runup to war is the possibility that some trucks moved WMD's to Syria. If that's all you got, that's pretty sad.

Oh, I forgot...they probably buried everything. That should be logical proof of existence. A big pile of sand in a desert and a photo of a buried jet with no missiles on it. That one probably could have flown into a building, if a Saudi Arabian terrorist got ahold of it...

By the way...I'm baaaaaaaack... :poke

LMAO

Get a grip man we have tecinically been at war for over 15 years with Hussein

No treaty was ever signed

Only a CEASE FIRE with a resolution or two that was NOT FOLLOWED and after TWENTY SOME ODD MORE RESOLUTIONS we finally enforced it

Quit trying to undermine our war effort and start helping the cause instead of doing your small part to debunk morale

Yeah, my consciencious objecting to this war probably has a demoralyzing affect on the soldiers. They can probably hear me typing this as we, um, type.

Probably even moreso than their Commander in Chief, who recently explained that the reasons they were given to "defend" freedom were made based on bad intelligence, which of course if they were given the entire or real story, they would know even that bad intelligence was manipulated to hide the real story. That should give them a warm heart and really help them forge forward without proper supplies and machinery with a positive attitude.

For once, I think President Bush was on the money. I think most decisions he has made were based on bad intelligence. His own, of course.

Gee one instance of this post WW2 would be nice moron wtf are you talking about ??? ....really sniffing glue is bad for you !!!

To stupid to understand that those pictures of covered vehicals going from Iraq to Syria probably had WMD's arent ya ??? :mj07: gee they only had month's to prepare for it and move it out of the country . than again their is the other 30 great reasons to remove Saddam from power but we need not go into those because the left only wants to magnifie what cannot be proven ....ya we know they moved all their cotton candy to syria right ???? god are you dumb !!! :scared

Gee moron the types of WMD's used in the past by Saddam our troops were prepared for plus Saddam knew he could use you morons as tools if he got them out of the country and he was 100% correct . These evil dictator types that are compleately out gunned are a lot smarter than your brain can handle . They know morons like you are their best allies and their greatest chance of survival is the Liberal and the Liberal Media types . See these people actually understand how many times the Liberals helped them throughout history IE : France and WW2 and Nam . Your merely tools for these people and great allies :cursin: You also forgot the part were the Iraqi army basically disbanded as we came in so they wouldnt die and had no moral to defend a compleate moron like Saddam to begin with . Only morons like yourself are willing to support people like Saddam and Hitler and they definately relie on it .

Gee Again moron what part of all those covered vehicals going from Iraq to Syria dont you get ???? you do understand that the Ranger in my familly alone witnessed over 900 covered vehicals and that was only during his watches :cursin:

Simple logic dictates that you have to show proof of something to prove its existence. Or at least show an efffect of something on something else to show possible proof. We're not talking about years ago...we are talking about when we invaded.

I see now everybody is a US Citizen aye ? Funny you sound just like the Liberals in France that wanted proof Hitler was going to advance on them hence why they refused to bring the Magnot line around to the Belgium border ....the rest is history :scared

Really no need to resort to lies !! :cursin: they were giving inspectors fits and once again the fact is 1000's of satalite pictures showing covered trucks leaving in mass a day even hours before an inspection and huge delays in getting access ...you know dam well they would have been allowed to walk rt up and get immeadiate access to any where they wanted if there was nothing to hide . Plain fact of the matter is the way they were behaving before during and after an inspection only solidifies the case they were hiding things only a compleate and utter moron would see it diferent :scared

All I have ever seen as supposed proof at the time of our runup to war is the possibility that some trucks moved WMD's to Syria. If that's all you got, that's pretty sad.

Why does that seem so impossible to you ? seems pretty dam logical, in fact if it wasent the case Kaddafi could have owned Iraq being that he turned in enough WMD's to destroy Iraq . You have history and the games played during inspections as well to back this up ? Please explain to me why you feel Saddam became a kinder more gentle man ? thats really what you need to prove before anyone with half a brain would ever believe this BS

Oh, I forgot...they probably buried everything. That should be logical proof of existence. A big pile of sand in a desert and a photo of a buried jet with no missiles on it. That one probably could have flown into a building, if a Saudi Arabian terrorist got ahold of it...

No but they did bury the hundreds of thousands of men women and children :cursin:

By the way...I'm baaaaaaaack... :poke

Yep and everybody here is dumber because of it ! :mj07:

I am very sorry your so upset that Iraq is currently a free country one were several million Women got to vote for the 1st time, its very disturbing that bothers you ,but not much anybody can do about it . May you go exactly were that Iraqi woman that didnt get much press believes you belong !!
