So Cal
MC - to answer Palehose's question about whether or not you had a war stategy, you answered "Yes I do."

Then you rambled on for a few more paragraphs but neglected to give your strategy - your personal solution to the problem in Iraq. Feel free to tell us.

Ferdville,

No problem (even though you missed another thread that would allow you to understand I never said I had a plan), first of all, I never would of went into Iraq as the country was quite contained for the past ten years and they were not a known terrorist threat to American interests nor did they have anything to do with 9/11 and the last known link they had to international terror was in 1993. Instead i would of continued to stabilize Afghanastan until we had the situation under control and brought stability to the country. Also, with the bulk of the world on our side we could of went at the root of terror in Saudi Arabia which finances, advocates hate of the west and has perhaps the most deplorable human rights conditions in the world which in turn contributes to terror. Even if we would of went after Iran, Syria or United Arab Emirates then we would of been justified in attacking countries that like Saudi Arabia, harbor and finance terrorist groups, but to attack Iraq in the name of terror was a very questionable call. I have no personal soloution to Iraq since in my opinion within five years after we pull out the country is going to erupt into a civil war as the sects have too many difference to be resolved that go beyond our understanding.
