vegas last weekend in june anybody?

Question for forum,

I just got a promotional email from Tropicana and it turns out I could stay there for the same as what I am staying at the Gold Coast. I'm not too sure about it though. Here is how I rate the pros and cons:

Tropicana:

Strip Location
Better shows
Awesome pool, one of the best pools in Vegas I have heard

Gold Coast

Rooms recently remodeled, plasma screen TVs
Better restaurants (I think)
Better sportsbook lines
Offers about 1600 frequent flyer miles

If I canceled GC I would get 100% refund as long as I cancel within 72 hrs. Any locals out there want to give me your opinion on what you would do?

OK, I've got it all worked out. Will be arriving Thu 6/29 and departing Mon 7/3 and will be staying at the Monte Carlo.

Will be great to meet everyone and get to know all of you I haven't met before. It will be just myself this time as the wife will be in Florida, babysitting our God children.

Me too, I NEED to get out of here and have a break. Traffic :rant2: , long workdays :mj16: , and SOS (Same old Chit :banghead: ) is driving me INSANE!!!

gonna mosey on down the road soon toward Las Vegas. Tho may get impatient and speed up the "mosey" a bit...

a string of 110 degree days is looming in LV and they may issue a heat advisory by the weekend----like I need any more reasons to lay by the pool, gamble in casinos, hang in lounges, and drink a bunch to cool off!

NOAA heat warning now goes thru Tues 27th (at least).

and now---flood advisory!. Thunderstorms (Tues-Fri) gonna cool it down to 100 degrees here! Then back up to 104 by Saturday.

To avoid embarrassment and considering heat--is there any place we'll be meeting that I will need to get dressed up (no shorts)??
I'll be rolling in the 27th and head out noon the 1st of July--so won't be at Saturday's festivities.

no but i was thinking wearing long jeans to dinner. the days of having to dress up are history, i think. there's no code that i know of for the restaurant. wear your shorts if you want. tank tops could be a problem and i think you need to wear a shirt and shoes

Your safe Jack I don't own any tank tops--(we-call them wife beaters here)
Was just wondering--didn't have any concerns with you and Matt--but planned on having meal with Al and his wife if possible--and I have always pictured him with in perfectly pressed pants and shirt for some reason.
and speaking of shirts--mt Madjack shirt is going on 5 years now and somewhat faded--could use a new one--we have new sporting goods shop here with lots of neat stuff--give me a team and I'll see what I can bring for swap.
Hmmm Maybe I better asked for size since you been on that diet. I might not recognize you since last time I saw you--
Someone told me when trying to spot you and Matt to keep in mind the old "Bartles and James" commercials and I couldn't go wrong

i think you saw me at 240ish but one time you saw me in the 220 range. yup, been on a diet since march 20. weigh in 244 and 208 yesterday.

was 94 here with lots of humidity. see you on the 1st unless you make the friday lunch party.
