baltimore (+121)

tigers essentially wrapped up a playoff spot with their series against chicago.

now they head to baltimore for one game before heading off to kansas city.

textbook flat spot for detroit.

and it certainly doesnt hurt that the better pitcher is the underdog here. gotta love end-of-season inflation prices.

benson has gone 7+ in 4 of his last 5 and allowed exactly 2 runs in 4 of those 5 as well. and although its a small sample size, he's got a sub-2.00 era against the tigers.

There is still a dog fight going down for division pride, so I would be careful in assuming that it is a "let down spot"

Nonetheless, on the strength of Benson, home field and the line..... Im going with the O's.

Agree with most of what you said, not sure that Benson is the better pitcher. Would much rather have my money and Robertson and the Detriot pen. This Detroit team really reminds me of the White Sox of last year, everything seems to fall into place for them. gl

Benson went 8 innings against the Tigers in the only game they played this year.

I put a unit on the O's but my ONE concern is their inability to hit lefties (worst MLB record against left handers last time I checked)

15-33 overall against lefties

10-12 at home

Down 2-0 early is it time to panic ? Benson should settle down, but the way the Orioles hit lefties two runs might be enough to win the game. :mj07:

I'm surprised with the bases loaded and 0 out that they even got a sac fly. That's how much confidence I have in this team.

Ok. That was huge, working out of that jam, bases loaded 0 out. Now any other team would feed off this momentum of this inning and come back and score some runs, but we are talking about the Orioles. They got the top of the order coming up, let's see.

Yeah, Patterson right on cue. We all know he won't be the one to get that big hit.

Still 3-2, I just don't know if they can get that hit to take the lead before the Tigers add to the lead.
