2005 EX V6 Honda Accord

I offered $17,500. Dealer wants $18,900. So were at a standstill. What should I do or do you think he will contact me? I won't pay $18 K for it.

Kneifl,
My wife is an auto theft investigator. i asked her to run this without knowing all options but assumed CD and alloy wheels.
Slight fluctuation according to where you live but in NYC area, assuming excellent condition and avg of 15,000 miles per year, it ran for $17,800.

Your offer seems low his price seems high.

sit tight, he'll call you. i know you or the misses may be anxious, and this may be the car you/she really want, but don't call.

they want to move cars, they know you want a car, it's his job, and commission to get you in one, so some other dealer doesn't.

not sure when your neg. stalled or when you last talked, but he'll get back to you within 24 hours with a counter.

don't go over you magic number of 18K, or whatever you decided you'll pay in your mind. there will alway be another car.

good luck with it.

kneifl...

i don't know how many miles your wife drives per year but you should look into leasing...she'll probably enjoy driving a new car more than a used car....

i use this site before i get a new vehicle...

Just one more thought..............

Just one more thought..............

I haven't bought a new car in 15 years.....
Whatever car u decide on be patient and just start making offers..sooner or later some one will take it..obviously private parties are going to be much cheaper than dealers.
Last car i bought was for a friend a Honda Si 2002 2003.the prices ranged from $10,000 to $15000 on the exact same car. Ended up getting one for $9,800...private party.
If u don't mind a poss drive or flight fer a super deal
do as search on Cars.com or AutoTrader.com
in a month or two u shd get a steal somewhere.

KNEIFL OBVIOUSLY IF YOU WENT IN HE LOOKS AT YOU AND THINKS YOUR RETARDED.WHAT I WOULD DO IS SEND IN A NORMAL LOOKING GUY AND I KNOW HE WILL GET YOU THE CAR FOR YOUR PRICE.

KNEIFL PEOPLE JUDGE YOU BY THE WAY YOU LOOK AND IF I SAW YOU ON THE STREET I WOULD JUST ASSUME YOU WERE BRAIN DEAD.SO IN MY OPINION THE CAR SALESMAN SAID TO HIMSELF WOW THIS GUY KNEIFL HAS TO BE RETARDED SO LET ME JACK UP THE PRICE ON THIS MORON.

KNEIFL YOU STAY HOME LET YOUR WIFE BUY THE CAR

How many of those have a V6? The split is usually not 50/50 between available models being an EX or LX. It definitely leans toward more LX models than EX.

The Civic SI is not really a good example. Honda had a hard time getting rid of those and prices were all over the place. That was the first Civic SI in company history that they offered incentives on to help sales. Maybe, nobody wanted a Honda that was made in England.

U prob right on all counts Red

U prob right on all counts Red

My major point was that u take ur time make offers..someone will take one I have bought quite a few cars the week between Xmas and New Years when show rooms are deserted.
Also buying in winter better than summer. And the sites i mentioned will give u a good selectin. Yes more LX's out there..but plenty of EX's.
