Actually, as a whole, I have nothing but respect and admiration for all of our military. I wouldn't trade for anything the comraderie and friendships that I experienced and made during 6 months of basic training and AIT, certainly as a stranger in a strange land during my 18 months in Korea and also during my 2 years at Fort Campbell.

If I am critical of specific, isolated acts like the one that started this thread, or of our soldiers raping young girls or purposely killing civilians, or the Abu Ghraib crap, it's because it only makes our soldiers already near impossible job, much more difficult and dangerous.
