WHERE'S SPONGE!!!! I have always wondered why nobody ever talks about the role of officials in sports gambling because it seems like the obvious avenue for insiders to affect the outcome in their favor.

Looking forward to hearing Sponge's comments since people called him an idiot for even talking about it.

Remember last season when I think it was Joey Crawford threw Tim Duncan out of a game for saying "What". That one was brought up for discussion during and after the game as curious to why one of the easiest going players in the league is thrown out of a game early for that little of expression.

"the bunker"
why throw games?.....when theres quarter/half/and any number of other props available....

throwing a game can be dangerous....why not just influence a quarter or a half?.....
much less obvious....

given the extent of gambling world wide,i`m surprised that anyone wouldn`t believe that this is going on.....

He's still an idiot.

I believe he stated he knew what games were going to be fixed.

Same idiot that offers an open challenge to all takers and then runs like a bitch.

It is not surprising that one individual could get caught up with the mob and gambling debts but there is nothing whatsoever to indicate that this is wide spread as many would have us believe. I will wait to hear more about the investigation but if the FBI has been investigating this guy for a while, you can be sure that they have taken a hard look at other referees as well.

I am betting that this guy is an isolated incident and nothing close to the idea that David Stern has the officials fix games on a regular basis.

I been saying the refs for YEARS! Sponge says it's the players that do it.

I said its both some players and officials as well as head coaches. Some players do what the league tells it to do and it is usually a superstar. I said i can bring this to the next level unlike others who just cry fix and i did it in the NBA threads explaining which players would forget how to play so the NBA puppy Lebron could succeed. It happen like clockwork but still people said i was wrong. This is going on in almost every sport you can gamble on. College and Professional and the leagues are behind it. Its a billion maybe trillion dollar industry. All the insults from people claiming i was an attention whore ought to step up and apologize but im sure they still think they are right. I already see Judge saying the "one guy line" Where is Clem D and AR? I can't wait to see how the NBA squashes this one. This is a dangerous one because here is an official who fix games for the league and now doing it behind their back. I would be looking over my shoulder if i was this guy. Just go look at the David Stern video on You tube when the Knicks got the first pick in 86. The bent envelope. He is as guilty as everyone else. the NBA won't even let us see ping pong balls or the big spinning tub. They just put them in an envelope and we are supposed to think everything was legit. To me this is so easy a caveman can see it.

Look how foolish you look. You accuse me of running from a contest and i can't seem to figure out where you have come up with this bizarre notion. You cried when i was exposing games being fix and once again i make you look foolish. Why don't you go back to crying for guys to keep records of their plays because everything you say about me turns you into a :00x20

Gmroz this is a very touchy subject for guys because its there hero's we are talking about. I think this subject brings more heat than rascism. Its a tough one to talk about because it hurts guys feelings. I just hope the books don't refund these wagers if they find out which games because i might owe a lot of money.
