Well heres a game that we can consider "clutch", this gut is overrated to me and tonight may be just more proof of that. This is one of those MUST HAVE games, win sends them to a possible BCS bowl and if that isnt a MUST for Hawaiians then there is no such thing. June Jones runs a great offense for college but the Btreenan kid isnt the next Montana and a few turnovers and the fact that BLESS wont be ablt to get open at will to pull Brennan out of the hot kitchen should just compound the fact. This team isnt FORREAL nor is its QB, tinight we will see. Anybody seen Timmy Chang lately:mj07: :mj07:

But when playing stiff competition YOU DO HAVE TO SHOW UP, Hawaii has too many of those Roll it on the field and win games. This Boise team is a proven winner and wont just be happy to see pretty girks and good weather in Hawaii. THEY WANT TO WIN AND KNOW HOW TO WIN. BOL to you I am on Boise +2.5!!! Only thing scaring me is the unknown or the MOJO as some call it. THE WHISTLES IS WHAT I CALL THEM!!!

Hawaii might very well be overated. I have no doubt they would lose to most of the teams above them in the polls. But to say Colt Brennan is overrated is silly. I mean how rated is he? Timmy Change would be in the NFL if he had any sort of height. Brennan has better numbers and the height. He'll be drafted.

Hawaii at home is 5-0, but so is Boise at 7-0. Neither teams is a national championship contender, but why doesn't Hawaii deserve to play in a BCS game if they win? Boise St. beat Oklahoma last year. If you don't give the WAC a chance, why make them Division one. Boise St. lost on the road to a horrible Washington squad. Washington is about 10 times easier as a road opponent than playing on the island with "possible biased refs" and the travel factor. And I think it was Sun who mentioned in an earlier post that the WAC really wants Hawaii to win. Hawaii may not win pretty at times, but it says alot that they do win the close games. Try and find when LSU covered a conference game at home. Hint, you won't find it this year. Winning is all that matters.

Hawaii may very well lose, but it won't be because of Colt Brennan. He's had a rocky past but seems to have found a home and made amends as best he could. He's easily a top 5 quarterback of this years class to come out. If Hawaii loses it will be because their defense never could stop anyone.

gl on your play

Hawaii is the play. This is their game of the century. The whole island will be rocking and Boise will come in tentative. They've had this game pegged for the last couple of years.

honolulu, Hi, USA
Why do people keep making comparisons to Timmy Chang? Take it from this local - Timmy Chang was not a good QB, he was not accurate, constantly heard footsteps and was not a leader. And that's why he is barely making it in the CFL. Colt is a different matter - mark my words, he will make it in the NFL as either a 1st or 2nd round draft choice.

So. Cal
personally, i think colt brennan is the best pro prospect of this years qb class

strong arm + quick release + accurate + a leader (i sound like spielman)

only downside is the comp he's faced

There are atleast 3or4 guys I'd take over him.

Top 4 in my eyes are:

Matt Ryan
Brian Brohm
Eric Ainge
Andre Woodson

After those 4 guys, as far as the draft goes, it's a take your pick. Brennan, David Booty, Henne.

ryan, brohm, woodson may get picked higher....ainge, no way.

personally i think brohm has a weak arm and wont cut it, woodson is very mechanical but does have a strong arm. ryan i'm not sold on......just think that eventually brennan becomes the best qb of the bunch (like a cutler a few years ago over young and lienart)
