American Airlines decides to charge $15 for the 1st bag checked as of 15 Jun. Between the rising price of tickets, reduced flights available, and the constant rise in fuel cost.......airlines will raidly either go out of business due to making it impossible for John Doe to fly or reduce their capacity to make airfare an elitist form of transportation. I guess your suppose to go on vacation or business trip without luggage. I just think there has to be a better way....this is Bull&^%$#

I think one bag should always be included.

I do not have a problem with them charging for additional bags. I would rather see myself or someone else who is packing much more luggage to pay for it rather than overall ticket prices going up.

They have to get their revenue somehow.

I flew back to Arizona from Minneapolis on Monday on US Airways. Requested an aisle seat when I booked, thought it was confirmed, and then I went to check in online the night before my flight, and there was exactly one middle seat available for me without paying a fee. So I had to bit the bullet and pay $15 for an aisle seat for the sake of both myself and my fellow passengers (I'm 6-4, 315... middle seats and I do NOT get along). Pisses me off to no end. If they are gonna charge $15, just put it in the price when I book rather than leading me to believe I had an aisle seat until I actually checked in online the night before the flight.

Did you guys book through the airline? I used Orbitz, so perhaps that was the cause.
