Teenage daughter pregnant--don't see the big deal
--now if father runs off to kenya--and she goes on foodstamps and abandons child herself to hook up with another muslim--then you got a story ;)

.............................................................

Let me get this straight.

You dont see a problem with McCains vetted VP candidate of a week , who has a daughter 5 mths pregnant , who will have the baby about election time.

Wow

McCain fawks up again and again. And we havnt even made it to the debates.

Can your candidate make any rational decisions ?

Is there a way to fire a VP nominee with a few phone calls ?

Like to ask her to step down and get back to Alaska and shoot some more big mooses.

A statement released by the campaign said that Bristol Palin will keep her baby and marry the child?s father. Bristol Palin?s baby is due in late December.

?Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child,

The father was identified in the statement as Levi, but the campaign said it was not disclosing his full name or age or how he and Bristol know each other, citing privacy.
..............................................................

I doubt they can force the guy to marry her.

This guy could really be in the cat bird seat by refusing to marry her.

what a mess

Is this the best the Repub have to offer

Can you point to someone defending it?

From Sun "Both sides and their spinmasters and the psoters here are all hypocrits and it is just sickening. So much for Obama's "new politics.""

Somehow this is Obamas fault?

The mother herself said she is proud of her daughter. All I see is Republicans reacting to how they SAY Dems will react. In fact, if this was a girl from a poor family it is the Dem's who would welcome her with open arms while the Conservative Republicans, like her mother, would try to lock her out of any benefits. I hope the irony is not lost on you Dawgs.

Seriously this shit about abortion and who's kid is pregnant who gives a freaking shit. This doesn't effect anyones lives like the economy and gas prices. How do people get sucked into this kind of crap over and over again? If the Republicans are so worried about this conjob they call abortion why didn't they make it illegal since they were in total control for the last 7 years? They didn't because they can con the same nimrods over and over again and use this as a wedge issue. Why didn't they make gay marriage illegal? Again because if they did they wouldn't have this issue to fool the same people they have been fooling each and every year.

I thought it was obvious but I guess I have to remember my audience - I am referring to Obama's supporters who apparently love him get arent following what he supposedly represents.

This is ridiculous. The Supreme Court has made abortion legal-the Republicans cant just change that. And for the last 2 years, as you may recall, the Dems have controlled Congress, and prior to that the Republicans never had 60 senators which would be necessary to ever get anything like that voted on in the Senate.

At most the could propose Constitutional Amendments, which (a) have no chance and (b) take several years.

Thats the fallacy of the pro choice argument as to the Supreme Court as well. Even if Roe was overtuened, all it would mean is the states would be free to impose restrictions. There hasnt been a single state that has even tried to outlaw abortion since Roe, nor is there a state that would or could ever get it passed. At most there would be things like parental consent for minors and no late term abortions, which there already is in several states.

In any event these arer wedge issues for both parties. It isnt like the Dems would propse a federal law legalizing gay marriage either.

Did they even attempt it? They got away with murder why not try to attempt to save a few live's? Last i heard the supreme court leans right.

I'm surprise they thought this could be kept under the sheets. What were they going to do send her daughter to china lets say school. It took a family member or close friend to leak this out. I could just here the rght if this was a Obama 17 year old daughter. And of course the right will be ok with this as long as she keeps this child. But she would be call shit if she gave it up for adoption or had it taken. I just hope this dude that has to marry her does not end up a divorced young man.

It's because both sides would rather discuss crap like this rather than the issues. Heaven forbid either candidate discuss what they would actually do about anything that really matters. I think the only "detail" I have gotten from either side is that Obama wants to tax the crap out of me.

It seems anymore that elections come down to "who is the lesser of two evils" rather than who can or would do any good.
