Membership by invitation only.... there are only about 300.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 25-50k per year, depending on the member. Some are 'full' members and some r not.

The weird thing about the Masters is.....

It is very expensive to go if you're not on the ticket list. The highest income demographic in the US attends the event, but they sell $1.50 cheeseburgers and $1.00 chicken salad sandwiches at the concession stands. Hot dogs are $1.25 and charge .50 cents for a bag of chips.

Every sporting event I go to charges $5.00 for a coke, $5.00 for a cheeseburger and $8.00 for a funnel cake.

It's like the Masters committee said "Hey! Let's not rip people off!"

On the course!
Any of the golfers I know who have been to Augusta say the same thing:

The dumpy area surrounding the course ruins the perfect image they had of the place.

I dont know what sort of fk'd up system you guys have in place. Most golf courses around the world have an initiation fee or equity fee. That usually ranges between $10000- $50 000. Then you pay your yearlys which can start at $3000 and range upto $15000 depending on if booze is included and if they are open all year to golf. And Im talking the best private courses in the world.

There are no monthly dues, you get a bill once a year and it may be for $20,000 or it may be for $200. You do not sign any tickets. Most of the members are from out of state so they stay on property in the 10 or so houses/cabanas on the grounds. My buddy played last year with Pete Coors and said it was the greatest time ever.
