It had been like that for 2 weeks, but I never really got 'serious' about it until this past thursday. It just now struck me to try rebooting.
That seems to have fixed the problem. Got 5 browsers up and it seems faster.

I have to ask - do you ever shut your computer down?
Has is it been running for two or three years and then you start having problems so you reboot for the first time in forever???
