just download internet explorer 7 (IE7) or firefox. problem solved.

Can't do it because there are diologue boxes necessary to click on in order to download it and they won't come up because of the problem.

I'm finna try to clear my cache, though, while I wait for the computer guy.

No, it literally won't let anything else pop up other than this one window, so even the normal right-click copy/paste 'window' won't come up. Very weird.

Huh? WTF is a registry?

Those other ideas won't work because of the problem. Anything I do has to be self-contained within one window with no pop-up boxes, etc.

It had been like that for 2 weeks, but I never really got 'serious' about it until this past thursday. It just now struck me to try rebooting. :rolleyes:

That seems to have fixed the problem. Got 5 browsers up and it seems faster.

See Jason, i've come a long way also.

I have to ask - do you ever shut your computer down?

Has is it been running for two or three years and then you start having problems so you reboot for the first time in forever???
