Never been until today. Man, does it blow.

Price is Right was blaring for a large portion
of themorning and someone near me failed
to shower recently, but worst of all I have
never been so freakin' hungry in my life,
and the only food at my disposal is located
in a vending machine:mj16:

Done about 5 stints myself. Of the 5 only one was worthwhile. I was the foreman on a long and well publicized rape case. Turned out that the alleged perp was innocent and it was really an interesting experience.

Besides that, it got me out of work for 2' weeks :)

Are you paid by your employer during the hours of jury duty or at a set wage.

At 32, I've always wondered IF a jury case can put you in financial ruin.

Say an OJ type deal where you are sequestered for a 6 month period.

Anyone know?

Good luck Cie! :mj06:

Depends on individual circumstances. It was in our contract that I must be paid.

its you civic duty to serve.

I guess I have gone 5 or 6 times.

But if you are on the other side and having a jury trial , believe me you would want yourself sitting
on that hard bench seat.

Above the Clouds....
Had to do it once. Sat there all friggen day just be called last. When the questions got to me the judge asked if there was any reason to excuse me. I told him the prosecuting lawyer was my wife's cousin he looked up and said "Hey how's the family?" Excused on the spot but a long day!:(

I have been twice, I actually enjoyed it  except for the time wasted by attorneys, I was on a jury panel both times but did not get picked for the jury, one was a capital murder case and the chick was convicted, sentenced to life without parole and the other was a civil lawsuit against a corporation, it was a bs lawsuit
