02Confessions of a Basket Wife
By Erin ? Comments (1)

Confession time once again for me. Even though I have traveled across the Atlantic Ocean now 17 times in the last 7.5 years, I absolutely don?t like to travel at all. It isn?t necessarily one thing, but a combination of a few things:

1. I get motion sick. It has gotten better over the years, but I really don?t do good with movement. In fact, when Joe was with the Lakers and I was out visiting him, I threw up all over his rental car in the middle of rush hour traffic on the freeway. I even threw up on the plane on the way to our honeymoon. Motion and I don?t get along too much. It often takes extreme concentration just for me to hold it together. As I have had kids, it has actually become easier because I do tend to forget about myself as I concentrate on them.

2. I don?t like the smell of airplanes, airports or anything connected with air travel. In college when we flew to our Big Ten games, I used to put Vicks Vapor Rub below my nose to block out the smells. Again, this has gotten better, but I still get the chills just thinking about the smell of the airplane. It ranks up there with cotton candy as one of my least favorite things in the world.

3. Caring for small children during travel is one of the most exhausting things I have encountered. Just thinking about 18 hours of constant care of my little sweethearts can make me tired. Add into that the fact that others are not always so gracious with you and it can be a bit challenging. I used to actually enjoy long layovers when I traveled by myself to catch up on a book or listen to music. These days I don?t even bother bringing anything along for myself!

4. Anxiety hits me about a week before I travel. We are a week away from flying back to the U.S. for Christmas and my stomach is already starting to turn. I know the root of this is pride and wanting to be in control. There are too many factors that are out of my control when I travel: how the kids will act, if flights will be on time, if others around us will be helpful, etc. Deep down I want to be in control and when we travel almost everything is completely out of my hands. It is extremely humbling to not know how your next 24-48 hours will be spent (even though none of us truly do).

In the end, I know I have a sovereign God who is in control of all things and has promised to grant me grace for whatever situation I might face. And eventually we will end up at our final destination. It may take a bit longer than expected?.but we will get there!

What Jasper Parnevik has to say about the situation.............

In the most critical comment from a player, Jesper Parnevik said he owed Nordegren an apology for introducing her to Woods. She once worked as a nanny for the Parnevik family.
"We probably thought he was a better guy than he is," Parnevik told The Golf Channel from West Palm Beach, Fla., where he is in the final stage of PGA Tour qualifying.

Police said Woods' wife told them she smashed out the back window of his Cadillac Escalade SUV with a golf club to help get him out after he struck a fire hydrant and tree.

"I would probably need to apologize to her and hope she uses a driver next time instead of a 3-iron," Parnevik said, adding that he has not spoken to Woods since the accident.

"It's a private thing, of course," the Swede said. "But when you are the guy he is - the world's best athlete - you should think more before you do stuff ... and maybe not 'Just do it,' like Nike says."

Relationship coach Dr. Anne Renee Testa is hoping the couple can work it out and said a sincere apology is an important first step.

wonder why she wants the marriage to survive

and, of course, the divorce attorney doesn't think the marriage will survive. wonder why he says that :mj07:

200 million to Elin and 100 million to divorce lawyers :mj07:

Yeh Tiger likes sex.

So right now its highly unlikely he is getting any from Elin anytime soon.

And even gettting back to where she is willing to have sex with him again is a very difficult funny.
Woman are funny that way after you cheat on them.

The longer that goes on , the more likely lawyers get involved.

It's definitely over. This was her plan from day 1.

And it only took 6 years

She can take her kids and $300 million and go back home and share it with her family :0corn

Woody you working today  we need some updates :0corn

It was all fun and games until Tiger showed his was an idiot.

I don't condone cheating but I'm not a rich celebrity... Jeez, I got excited when an 8 came onto me last weekend (nothing happened of course), imagine 10s wanting you all day long... and having a Jet and a yacht?

The yacht alone would cause major issues in my marriage....

All of this could have been kept under wraps if he just would have given some bitch a million dollars to be at his call.

Now, his image is crushed, his wife is taking 300 million, and Jesper Parnivik is having high hopes that his "nanny" will come home...

Jesper is a f. d-bag.

Who cares if you introduced them?! Has he lived under the same roof for five years?

Fucking retarded and hope he's blackballed from the golf group in the locker room...

Rule number one: If a a guy and his wife are having troubles, stay the f'k out of it...

You'll just wind up with drama and an angry drunk husband beating on the door at 3AM wanting to sleep on the couch... kurby

I think what Jesper said was great. I like it when people speak their minds and don't try to be p.c. as long as they aren't just trying to get their names in the papers like T.O. or Chad Ochocinco. Jesper is probably more emotionally attached to Elin than Tiger since she took care of his kids for a number of years. His wife did mention that their employees are more part of their family than an actual employee. He's just backing someone he cares about, which I don't see anything wrong with.

On the course!
I think Eldrick will be spending a few quiet weeks with mommy to sort through a few things.

(She's all he's got to fall back on, now!)

But consider this: He's been living a lie for the past couple years, and playing golf like a machine.......what the fuck will he do once he comes back with no bones in the closet to worry about????

I think he takes a year off or he just shows up to the majors from now on, his first tournament back will be a zoo with reporters, maybe he just quits the tour all together:shrug:

Don't you know Phil Mickelson is laughing his ass off and thinking why did this not come out a few years ago. :142smilie
