Yes, on the left side of the driveway looking at the house.

Can they get those houses any closer together?

Hedge, are you free and clear on your house? Is there a mortgage holder on your house? If so, you don't technically own your house, until you've paid it off.

Let alone (what I assume Illum is referring to) the eminent domain angle - which could trump any of us virtually at any time. IF you wanted to worry about EVERYTHING, that is, right Illum?

Quit being an asshole and maybe some people will look at you a little different.

I didn't see it, but I don't know how you can deal with houses on top of each other. Fuck that.

You are correct Chad,

but also the fact, and I know this is like shoving an M-80 up a cats ass, property taxes are basically rent payments to the state. If you buy a lot to build a home on, why in the rubber duck should you continue to pay a yearly rent?

Everybody bitches about all taxes, all the time. Or at least some do. No state income tax, but you bitch about your property taxes. You don't want to pay taxes, but you bitch about cameras on your lights, which is a cost-effective way to enforce the law.

You want to live in a nice area, drive a relatively expensive vehicle, but don't like the high property taxes, and paying a bit more to license a big vehicle.

All taxes are bad, but you want to be protected, and live in a nicer area than the non-white lesser class.

You want our country to fight wars on other soil, so it doesn't affect you. But you hate what it takes to pay for it. You want to make sure your insurance doesn't cost you more, but it only started to get to you when your specific costs went up.

Sorry, it gets old sometimes.

taxes are too high

50% at least of what I make goes to some sort of tax, government splits with me 50/50:sadwave:

I am not happy unless I am bitching about something:shrug:

Well, realizing you have an issue is the biggest part of recovery... ;)

You only think about what taxes are taken out of what you make (I doubt it's 50%, by the way, but whatever...) and don't think anything about what they pay for.

It's an easier way to think, IMO. But that's just me.

Yeah, of course you are. Guessing you probably are glad there are schools for your children, too. Probably glad there are roads to drive on, mail that's delivered, soldiers to defend you, ammo they can use to do it, etc., etc.

You're happy that you have a pretty darn good life - much of which has been afforded you by taxes. Whether you realize that, or think that, or not. But bitching about it, is easier, and as you said, makes you happy.
