I've had hernia surgery 12 years ago, in and out that day. I had three small holes and small soreness, the only part that was bad was the first pee after- That was brutal. Surgery and techniques have come a long way, everything is quicker, shorter, and leaves the pt with quicker recovery times.
As far as the check, take note you other retards, the Dr will push on what's called your Suprapubic area, some will say groin area, to check if there is intestine pushing through the muscle. This is what everyone knows as a classic hernia. If he actually touches your balls, he looking more for torsion and if you don't know what that is....Look it up! I'll just say, that's more serious. If he not lookin for torsion, maybe he lookin for a date! Keep that in mind:142smilie
The number one way it's diagnosed is with the pushing and coughing method everyone is found of. You need to go to your doc and have it checked. Hopefully he's better than the guy that diagnosed me, I was 17 y.o. and he said I had 4 hours to live.
Good luck.................and cough for me...again....again
