SUCH FUCKING BULLSHIT! IM SO PISSED I LIVE IN MOBILE, AND THIS SHIT IS FIXING TO FUCK US UP! They couldn't fix the ittox, and it was in 200 feet of water! They are trying to fix this one with the same methods in 5000 feet of water.....FUCKING PURE DUMB
I cannot even begin to understand the local aggravation there. The long term effects are beyond calculation.

and btw... if the environmentalists hadn`t blocked the oil companies from drilling for oil on land(like anwar) and in shallow water...forcing them to drill in areas that are a mile deep..this disaster would have been a minor blip environmentally(much like the accident in 1979)...

he admitted so at the press conference today...
if you`re worried about the environment...and live in the real world..allow the oil company to drill in easily accessible areas and these catastrophes will be averted in the future....

BUDDY IM NOT ARGUING THAT WE NEED/ AND HAVE TO HAVE FUCKING OIL.....IM SAYING THAT THESE FUCKBAG OIL EXEC'S AND SUCH HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG! It's refreshing to have someone in office who can admit failures - we haven't seen that in a long time.
The was no shortage of drilling permits onshore handed out the last 9 years. THE FACT is that the "easily accesible" areas in this country have been essentially tapped out for a long time. None of our oil is easy anymore.
no...you`re right...not when something goes wrong a mile underwater and the temperature makes antarctica seem like pismo beach....
i have the utmost sympathy for the gulf coast...this is last area that needed trouble on the heels of katrina....
b.p. may well be done...finis...many of those lives will also be affected....
a lose/lose situation...
