Colonoscopy

I've had some GI issues so I have to have a colonoscopy and also an endoscopy next month. I'm more worried about the anesthesia than the big scope they are going to shove in my ass. :sadwave:

You can do it awake if you want. I know a guy that did because he couldn't afford to be put to sleep. He said it was only a little uncomfortable.

That 3 or 4 ounce liquid you drink the night before and the day of the procedure is the worst part. :0008

the anesthesia they use for colonoscopy makes me sick as a dog for the rest of the day...puking...nausea....

ask the doctor if he can give you something beforehand to alleviate any potential residual nausea...

I'll have the laptop on the pot. I figured I'd light some candles, play some romantic tunes, and shit my brains out with the fine folks at MJS.

I have to take some pills at 4p on Fri, one drink at 6p and then another at 10p, nothing after midnight.
Procedure is at 8a Sat morning.

Had a colonoscopy a few months ago as my wife insisted. Nothing to it. Thought sure they would find something up my nasty ass but no luck. Looks like I get to live for the forseeable future. Got a tee time tomorrow!

had a colonoscopy today and nothing to the prep last night....was much worse when I have the flu. They removed 2 polyps in the colon but have 4 in the rectum that have to be tested and haven't been taken out(too bloody). A little scared tonight w/not knowing but wife thought the doctor didn't seem too concerned. Anyone have any removed?? keep your fingers crossed

It's easier said than done buy try not to imagine the worst...as it usually isn't the case. Will keep you in my thoughts, keep positive that's the best route.

I have mine in a week and a half. I'm not worried about the procedure just about the results.

I had multiple polyps removed - all fine. They biopsy them and the waiting is the toughest part. Good luck with it.

Thanks guys....don't have any friends that have had any removed so was alittle worried about 6. I'm not too religious but I will be praying and will be changing my diet starting tommorrow.
