Fios all the way. I could care less about price, I want the best quality. Saying that it's cheaper than Time Warner.

I don't like either Dish or Directtv because I like my video on demand for my primetime shows and premium channel shows.
Verizon does not provide service in your area.

This first bill usually has more than 30 days service on it. I'm sure there is a lot of taxes but is there maybe more than one month of charges on there?

Yeah, yeah, there's a partial month on there, the taxes, my extra charges for boxes on 8 other TV's besides the main one. Oh, they charged ME $10 for ME to install the DVR with their "self-installation" kit :142smilie

So, yeah, no need to call, it looks like they inched me up to around $190 for the $159 plan :0008

comcast blows...the keep taking channels...3 t.v.`s that used to be getting basic cable have been rendered null and void because of their upgrades...

gw - Comcast doesn't 'take channels'. They move them from analog to digital so they can provide more channels, OnDemand, and bandwidth on the now freed up space where the analog channels were.
Its called progress. In my area, you can get two Digital Adapters free, and additinional are $1.99/mo. Sounds to me that for $1.99 your 3 TVs 'rendered useless' would be back in business.
Also prevents those that have illegal hookups from getting much programming at all, as their TVs are, in fact, rendered useless. Stockholders like this.

""They move them from analog to digital so they can provide more channels, that they can charge a fee for.....

fixed that...

bottom line is that i now have 3 t.v.`s that are rendered useless thanks to the need for "adapters"....last time i looked,$1.99 x 3 =roughly 6 bucks...

add that to "franchise fee"..."athletic tax"..."ppv franchise fee"..."regulatory recovery fee"..."universal connectivity charge".......and the dreaded "dvr service"(whatever the hell that is)....you get my drift...

i have two free adapters so i can get channels i used to get for free on two t.v.`s........whoa !...that leaves only 3 gathering dust......

wonder how long i`ll get them for free?......we`ll see...guess i`ll have to keep an eye on that bill...

first they take a finger...then 2...then a hand...then an arm....creeping incrementalism....it`s so gradual....so slick...,

the more i think about it,the more i`m considering calling verizon fios and trying to get a human being on the phone to get a definitive offer....

Yeah, MJ kind of tricked me when he quoted me and I was talking about having Fios.

When he said they don't have verizon in "your" area I could have sworn it was me he was referring to and not him.

Can't wait for the afternoon to get here so I can have a beer on a patio. You guys are getting my anxiety levels too high.
