lol just saw that picture Wow that was back in the day Now live in Austin Texas and no snow or ice. I do miss it somewhat but enjoy having a garage in Austin My house in NY was not allowed to have a garage because it was listed as a " historic home " and we couldn't add on anything to our house. Behind us were 4 more historic homes and they had " horse carriages" and those people made them into garages . But my back yard had more acreage and no horse carriage I was at the end of a block and the snow removal guys would put all the piles of snow at my corner They the denied it so I put food coloring all along the street . Ay the corner of my house with about 6 feet high of snow you could see different colors in the snow piled on They finally stopped the practice of piling up all the snow on the corner . There was a rainbow of colors purple red,yellow etc They needed to pile the snow they plowed away from my corner because I couldn't even get my car out of the snow. I was so mad because I always tipped them money at Christmas time . Having coffee with these guys everyday early in the morning They knew me and I knew them They denied they piled snow at the end of the intersection until my colored snow showed up . I took some pictures of me at the corner . Not sure why I covered my face . Thanks for letting me see that again

Crossvilee Tenn Old school do you remember that story The " jet motel " $3.00 a night Wallace gets shot in Maryland and my cylinder goes thru my VW engine
I remember pretty clearly. I was a senor in high school and the shooting took place about 15 minutes from my high school. He was running for pres and it happened pretty close to election time. So that was sometime late 1972 (without looking it up).
It was Nixon, Wallace, and McGovern running. Wallace dropped out after he got shot and that messed McGovern up because Wallace was going to take a lot of the Nixon votes Nixon won easily.
