-Houston starter Hunter Brown seems to have righted himself after a tough stretch, allowing just 2 ER's on 8 hits in 12 IP. He is a nice 5-2 with a 2.36 ERA on the road this season in 12 starts with 80 strikeouts in 70 1/3 innings. The Astros still lead the AL West by 1.5 games over Seattle. The Yankees, meanwhile have lost 5 of 6 games and have fallen 6.5 games back of the Blue Jays in the AL East and have scored just 11 runs in their last 5 games. New York starts RHP Cam Schlittler who is making only his 5th career start and has been awful at home with an ERA of 5.59 in 2 starts, giving up 6 ER's, 11 hits, SIX walks and 3 HR's in just 9 2/3 inning pitched. Play Houston and Brown at a nice short price.

-The Tigers come into tonight's game with a home record of 37-23 and lead the the AL Central by 6 games over Cleveland. Tonight, they start reigning Cy-young award winner Tarik Skubal who is having another outstanding season. He is 11-3 on the year with an ERA of just 2.18 overall. He is 8-1 at home this year with an ERA of 2.23 with 102 strikeouts in just 76 2/3 IP. In addition, he has already beaten the Angels 9-1 this year, allowing 1 ER on just 4 hits and 8 k's in 6 IP. The Angels start RHP Kyle Hendricks who is just 6-8 on the year with an ERA of 4.79. On the road, he is even worse, going just 2-4 with a high ERA of 5.44! In the other game, The Cubs start LHP Matthew Boyd who is a stellar 11-4 on the year with an ERA of only 2.34. In his last 5 outings, he has an ERA of 1.41, allowing 0 ER's in 4 of those starts! At night, he is 1-0 giving up 0 ER's on 2 hits and 10 strikeouts in a 6-0 win over Seattle. Meanwhile, the New York Mets are just 1-8 in their last 9 games coming in at a dismal 25-31 record on the road. Detroit went from -333 to -276 overnight. Have no idea why. Probably because Hendricks has had 2 good outings in a row, but both of those starts were at home! He is just 2-4 with an ERA of 5.44 on the road. I still love this play

Miami/Cleveland +217
-I've had alot of success this year (and lately) with these 2-team parlays. Gonna try another one tonight. Miami comes into this game a very respectable 28-27 this year and a good money maker at +$1744. The Marlins looking for revenge for last night's collapse vs the Braves. The Braves are still a horrible 48-66 on the year and a huge money burner at -$3238 (a league worst!) and haven't won 2 in a row at home since June 18 and 19! Miami starts RHP Edward Cabrera who has a nice ERA on the year at 3.24 and an excellent current form going 2-1 giving up just 3 ER's on 11 hits in 17 2/3 IP with 17 K's in for an ERA of 1.53! The Braves start RHP Brad Elder who is just 4-8 with a 6.03 ERA on the year. He is equally bad at home with a 6.54 ERA! In the other game, Cleveland comes into tonight's game winners of 7 of their last 8 and start RHP Tanner Bibee who admittedly has had an average year, but is a perfect 5-0 his last 5 starts and is 3-0 vs the White Sox in his career, including a 6-2 road win this year. The White Sox haven't given much resistance this year with an awful 42-73 record (31 games below .500!) Tonight, they start RHP Aaron Civale, who is just 3-6 with a 3.99 ERA this year and an 0-2 record at home! In addition, he has already lost to Cleveland this year (at home) giving up 4 ER in 5 2/3 innings.
