I gotta watch Training Day one of these days.

And I know that Hollywood is damn near out of original ideas, but why the fuck would anybody think it was a good idea to remake The Magnificent Seven?

I don't agree with giving it #2 but it's a good one.
well, turned out "one of these days" was tonight. not bad, and some slightly-out-of-focus full frontal from eva mendes. but hardly his 2nd-best movie.

my GF came home while i was watching it and said something to the effect of "it felt like he won the oscar for that just because they felt he was due, not necessarily because he was so good in that."

it was fun seeing snoop dogg and dr dre. and terry crews in his first ever role, as gang member #3.

Also highly recommend Inside Man (2006) and Crimson Tide.

Liked the equalizer movies, Inside Man, Bone collector, and American Gangster much higher in this list. Glory is also a movie I enjoyed that just had a bad ending.
