first of all, now that i've almost finished billy walters' biography, i take any statement from federal prosecutors with a grain of salt.
second, i can't really blame these guys. we've all been there... you're in vegas! a measly $50K ain't gonna cut it.

Great read. Certainly a colorful guy with some fun stories. I wished he’d have unloaded on that POS Phil Michelson for dogging him like he did, but there’s likely more to the story than he lets on in the book.
yeah, he made it clear what he thinks of mickelson, but i'm sure he could have gone into more detail.
funny thing about phil... like most people, i used to root for him. then one day, sitting at an airport gate, a tournament was on the tv. of course they were following phil a lot. i was chatting with the guy next to me, and i said something like "i hope he gets his major someday." and this guy said something that made me do a 180 on my opinion. basically "i can't root for a guy who gets millions for playing golf, has a hot wife, hasn't ever worked a day in his life, and is just a huge choker."
i thought about it, and agreed with him. phil was probably just as talented as tiger when it came to shot-making. but he was a choke artist. i'd have to double check this, but i'm pretty sure he didn't win any majors when tiger was anywhere near the leaderboard. if tiger was in contention, phil crumbled.
and then years later i heard the FIGJAM story. how phil's nickname on tour was FIGJAM. Fuck I'm Great, Just Ask Me.
anyway, all this led to me being way ahead of the curve when it came to realizing phil is a POS. billy walters should have asked me before associating with him.
