Sinners gets 16 Oscar nominations, Weapons gets one, yep, makes no sense.
And Weapons not getting nominated for Best Picture is a joke.

I thought the first hour was a 10/10, but the whole ending was stupid to me

As previously mentioned in this thread, the absolute worst rating for this movie is a 7.5 outta 10, it is a great movie.
Yeah, for the first half, I was so fired up and like Holy shit, but it got pretty dumb and implausible for me - and I enjoy Sci Fi... i just don't even know what that was.
You’ll hate it even more if you read about what the hidden meaning is re:children dealing with alcoholic parents. Smurph knows about it. Dumb.
All the movie needed was a “chance” encounter by one of the detectives in an alley where they happen upon a homeless bum who tells them all about the lore/witchcraft.
