I never honk the horn under any circumstance. I have the record for that and I'm not gonna break it now.

I am the same, the only time one should ever "honk the horn" is when it will prevent an accident (let the person know where you are). I think the last time I "honked a horn" was sometime in the mid 1990's.

Yes any vehicle on the road in Canada has a horn that quietly beeps and then says "please excuse me I am coming through".

Not me. I’m a daily honker for even the most minor other driver infraction. It’s automatic for me to honk.

Jack never honks the horn under any circumstances.

Two or three times a year, at least, there will be a car in front of me at an intersection, and they fail to go when the light turns green, often on a green arrow, probably busy texting.

I certainly don't honk right away, but if after 7 or 10 seconds they don't move, I certainly give them a friendly toot before we both fail to navigate the intersection, especially if needing to get a move on because it's an icy and slow intersection from a dead stop.

I absolutely can't believe any driver would not encounter this situation about as frequently as I do, but when they do they always just sit there patiently and miss the light and never give their horn a friendly toot.
