just kidding, but is that what I have to put in the thread title to get a response?

7-4-1 yesterday +5.05 units

Year to date record: 64-50 +25.80 units

1 unit Pit under 9 +100
2 units Pit +120
2 units KC +185
2 units CHC +130

and my first play for more than 2 units all year: 3 units on Minny under 9 +105 (pinnacle)

As far as the Pit play, benes has been great, but can't get a win. hard luck loser/non-winner in back to back 2-1 decisions. Meanwhile, his era is under 2 of late. Wells almost always pitches well enough to keep pit in the game. Looking for a 4-3 decision.

As for the minny under, I've won 10 straight 2 unit totals, and this one qualifies. On top of it, you can get 25 cents better at pinnacle right now. Plus, these two met last game and 5 runs were put on the board. O's can't hit, and Radke doesn't walk you. Drsikill is the key, and his last start against the twinkies hopefully righted his ship.

the word "LOCK" usually does well around here. they open the thread and then you'll probably get bashed for using the *word*.

gracias.

I am curious--did I miss something about this kennedyinfo guy? Why is everyone congratulating him and actually playing what he posts? Isn't he brand spanking new here, like me? Why he is getting so much attention? Seems like he's even topping the responses of long timers here like ndfan. What am I missing?

What I don't get is that anybody who actually does this for a living does NOT make 1-10 stars part of his bankroll management. I use 1-2 units, and had a hard time doing the math to convince myself that 2 units are warranted. And my first ever 3 unit play goes today (and I've been doing this for 5 years!). So, what the hell is a ten star play? If it is ten units, he is a fraud for sure. Nobody can play games for 10 units and not go bust.....

Mack,

It all depends on what one considers a unit play. . . not everyone considers a unit to be the same as you! LOL

Good luck tonight.

First of all Mack the Knife, I wanna say nice job so far.....people do notice trust me. This is really my first year posting on a regular basis just for the fact In the past just didn't have time with the constant 12 hour work days etc.

Like Nickelback said, people all look at "Units" meaning different things. To me one unit = 2.5% of my bankroll(which is considered to be a high % to most), that's why you'll never see me up over a 100 units, but a lot of people automatically consider a unit to be equal to $100...thus a 5 unit play is equal to a $500 wager. There's nothing wrong with that but you see where I'm coming from. Basically, everyone interprets it differently. For example, I believe with Fletcher, a 5* is equal to 1.5 units or $2000 to him. So Fletcher would be up 1.5 Units where someone else might say there up 20 Units!

It's all depends how you look at it.......Kennedy's been on fire..hats off to him...and I hope his run continues..trust me, but I have certain opinions that I choose to keep to myself and will not get into.

Good luck to you today.

Just to add my unsolicited opinion here as well.....ah, who cares? I mean...if the guy (Kennedy) is currently on fire...great. If you (Mack) don't feel comfortable yet in coattailing someone who has not "proven" him or herself to you yet...then be cautious and skeptical. Whatever. Why would you be upset that people are giving props to this guy for doing a solid job so far?? Weird.

Anyway...we are all in this together, no? Against the man, right? So take whatever opinions you want...chuck the rest, and kick some arse on the games!!

nice points.

Stanton: i would not ever add much if any $ based on most anything I see posted on the net. I can assure you that I win, but to be fair, how do you know this? I haven't been around this site long enough. (add the fact the line move says over is the consensus, and it seems a little more dicey) And, to be honest, I'm winning at a greater clip lately than I will overall. I hope it continues, and this year is better than ever before, but I wouldn't bet on it.:D

As far as the units "debate" goes, the reason I stated my opinion so strongly is that star ratings are a common tout tool that tricks unsuspecting newbies. Let me ask this: why would you ever attach a star rating to games when (1) the capper's historical record does not indicate how plays have done via the star rating and (2) units w/l are the only thing that matters, and games can't be played at more than 2 units on a regular basis unless the bankroll has more than 100 units or you can win 65% of the time (at -110). I've never met a person who does this for a living (no service) and they attach a star rating to their plays--these are for "show" and are used as bait for customers. Anything over 2 units is serious doo-doo if you assume your bankroll consists of 100 units. You simply cannot survive playing 10 unit games if you have a 100 unit bankroll, no matter how much your unit wager is in dollar amounts.

Lawguy: the reason I talked about the attention kennedy seems to generate is because I've seen this play out a lot of times. On the one hand, i'm baffled why people prefer his style to a more conservative but "legitimate" one (with precise record keeping, no star ratings, and no 20 unit plays). I am not here to sell my plays, but I suspect that Kennedy wants customers--no? I don't think he is legitimate, and I'd hate to see people fall for it, although I guess you are right; why should I care? But for every hot streak this, that person has had two losing ones under a different name at a different board. A very old scam....One other indication of a scam is no moneylines or exact record keeping. I've seen two of his posts and each one had a line that did not exist as far as I could tell (nym under 7.5 today).

MTK, first of all, the reason I did view your thread was more out of curiosity to see what an 18 gazillion star game was all about. A lot of times, I look at who started a thread vs. what the subject is. I just happened to view KI one of the first days he posted and if I am not mistaken he started out on an 11-0 run and has had only one losing day since he started posting here.

I agree with alot of what thelawguy had to say. We are all here for a common cause, and if someone wants to charge for their plays, we are the ones that make the decision whether to pay for them or not. I personally don't have the time to cap BB, so I look for someone that is hot and ride it out. KC had a nice run earlier and KI seems to be on a nice one now. I much prefer FB and Hoops.

I do agree with your units argument. I have seen people on other sites have 40 and 50 unit games and that is absurd. When I cap hoops, I have either 1,3, or 5 unit games. My method is a little different than most as I have a formula that I use to make my own spread and then compare it to the LV spread, and then I make my selections based on the size of the discrepancy. It worked well for me last year with the different size units and I am anxious to see if it works as well this year.

If you are looking for "love", start putting your record or units won in the title of your thread and that will get you noticed.

Lastly, and this is just me, if I would have gone to your post on Tuesday and saw that you had 12 selections, I probably wouldn't have stayed very long. Four max/day for me.

Good Luck and I will be watching in the future.

mack,

Sorry about your loss tonight. It's so hard to make up $18,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 when the season's about to come to an end.:)

I've read your posts and enjoy reading your thoughts, so stick around, things will get better once people figure out your style.

And I've also seen the other stuff too many times before. The whiplash is a killer.

MTK -

Loved the headline....I read most posts here mostly for enjoyment. I've been a gambler for about 15 years. As I've made more money my bets have gotten bigger. I factor in all information but in the end many times go against what I see here cause "I" like the play. And in the end, if I win or lose its my money. I'm waiting for the post here for someone to pay me if they lose. Then you know what, I'll be all over that person's plays.

I enjoy posting here and showing others what I play. But I do it to contribute not to get customers. Anyone who would sign up with someone off a post here should maybe think twice anyway. But if they so, so be it, its their money. Just my two cents.

Listen guys I work hard to pick winners on this site for you guys,I just let the winning proves that I can try to be honest and solid about my plays, and as far as the mets under 7.5 goes my book heritage sportsbook had that line early yesterday.I dont win every game, who does but If I can help one guy win why not help two guys win in my opinion,I love critzism,it makes me a better man.I appreciate your thoughts,I am new to this site doesnt mean I am not new to winning good luck today!!!

Nice respectable comments and debate. Kudos to all you mature guys.

And, Mack, you make some good points...I am not into criticizing anyone, that's all. What I have seen from this site, though, is alot of respect. So in that regard, I think your point was to forewarn those others that you don't want to see get "taken" somehow. That's cool.

Kennedy: Man, just do your thing. No reason to get cocky. Let your record speak for itself. And, yeah, for all of us, it helps if you put up the lines you are relying on, plus your 'record' on this site and the number of units (or the $$) you are playing on the plays. All that is helpful.

GL to all.....and let's go Mets, damnit. (Today, Aug 15)
