Go Habs Go!!
NEW JERSEY (-125)
I watched the game the Sens played against the Rangers on Monday and I wasn't too impressed by their play. If it wasn't for the two fluky goals they scored they wouldn't of won this game. They did not dominate. Perhaps they kept their energy for their game aginst the Devils tonight... On the other side, I don't feel the Rangers played well enough to win either. Their effort was apparent in the 3rd period were they did press the Sens defense in the corners but couldn't get any openings in the slot. In all, if they would of played better they would of came out with the win. The Sens are also missing Leschysyn and Chara on defense and Shastlivy and Hull in front.

The Devils played last night and if it wasn't for Brodeur they would of lost this game in OT. But they played a much stronger opponent in the Flyers who have begun to score a little more goals lately (4 in their last 2 games... wow)! I really feel it will be tight which is the reason why I'm taking the ML instead of the -.5 line.

Go Habs Go!!
NY Islanders/San Jose Over 5 Goals (-150)
I anticipate both of these teams gunning tonight. The Sharks are back from 1-6 road trip and will be looking for prey in familiar grounds. I see the Sharks jumping early. Garth Snow has played surprisingly well in his last 5 games (3-1-1) not giving up more than 2 goals in all 5 games. The Isles are looking for a win to make their road trip a successful one, so they will fight until the end, creating offensive chances and giving up offensive chances as well. At an Over of 5 goals, even with a -150 line, it seems like a pretty good wager.

Brodeur is a happy-go-lucky guy! He's always smiling and saying good things. He's the kind of goalie who loves to make nice saves and judging by his performance in OT yesterday, I think he will put on a good show tonight. But the fact that he might be tired is very good possibility. But I think tireness will be a factor in an important game against the Sens. Against a team like Pittsburgh, where he knows the game should be a little lighter OK. But not the Sens! :D

Go Habs Go!!
Montreal (-105)
The Habs are coming off an embarassing loss against the Panthers last night and will bounce back tonight against the "defenseless" Sabres. Garon will definitely provide confidence for the Montreal defense while the addition of Dackell and Ribeiro will provide spark in front. Czerkawski and Kilger will be benched. Mike Komisarek, Montreal's future on defense, will begin his adventure with the Habs taking Bouillon's spot. The Sabres could be a good remedy tonight for the Habs, them having problems scoring goals. The Sabres have allowed lots of scoring chances in their last few games. I'm looking at perhaps adding a play on the Habs Total as well. I just hope they do live up to the prospects of this game...

Boston -.5 (-105)
If the Bruins want to stay in the playoff picture they need to beat teams liek the Hurricanes. The Canes have been hit by a string of inuries to their top players in Cole and Brind'Amour. They have also traded Kapanen to the Flyers. The Canes are coming off a good effort. Thanks to an early fluky goal scored by Adams, they found the energy to compete for 60 minutes against a healthy Leafs team. They ended up losing it in the end which shows you hwo things are not going well over there. They shouldn't get any better... Hackett should bounce back for the Bruins and his team will make sure they spend more time in the offensive zone to make sure they don't play in their zone!

cooz also has good information about the Bruins.

Amazing... 0-4 for the night... This has been the longest slump of my wagering career!

So unless I get back on the winning track, definitely fade all my picks because it ain'r happening right now!

The B's could not get the win against a beat up team, the Habs disappointed again, the Devils where outplayed (Horns you were right!) and the Sharks well, they were no different than how they have been all year!

:topic:

I will try to stay away from the forum during the day until I get back on a more solid winning track. I have to say I've been kind of "sucked in" to some of the picks on the board lately before getting a feel on things on my own. That's what happens when you slump! Will go back to the gold old ways. I definitely need to re-adjust my approach. It's funny how my working method has changed since the All-Star break... I have really slacked off... :nono: It definitely has shown in my picking performance. hmh

So many good cappers, so hard not to look away though!!! :hail

I will definitely leave my views in time (hopefully) for the start of the action.

Well... all in all I am happy that I have come to this because I had forgotten about what made me successful in the 1st place: if you are going to do your own capping, work your own views before looking at other views AND if you are going to follow someone on their views follow them completely. :yup

All the best!
