OK guys, I got mixed feelings on this post as I just read the news on Kniefl and I am truely saddened about his situation, I pray and hope that someone has a good enough heart to help out and the man upstairs puts all the pieces together and the right people are placed with in reach to be able to help or atleast give efforts to help. So with that Jon K. I hope EVERYTHING WORKS OUT, keep your thoughts pure as your mind is the strongest defense your body can offer, never doubting help will arrive in time and trusting in your faith will go a long way!! My prayers to you and your family!!!! If someone has ANY contacts or know how someone should make an effort to contact the Dallas Cowboys (seriously) as there are always feel good stories around the country....in an attempt for them to ask for help, run commercials....maybe even a player or ex player may be willing as this has struck home for the Cowboys I believe just last year when 2 retired players stood up tall and one donated a kidney to the other(if my memory serves me right) In a battle for LnD NO request is too large or too much of a hassle!!! BOL Jon again you are in my prayers!!!!!

Part 2 of my post is to ask for a list of things to do as I have been afforded an all expense trip to Vegas(except gambling funds) and I have NEVER been to Vegas before. I am asking all you PLAYERS and GO GETTERS to give me a list or atleast give some suggestions as to how to spend my trip.....4 days long and I requested for it to be during FOOTBALL SEASON, B day is Monday and it was actually a gift from my immediate family, awesome gift in my eyes!! I ont want to go to Vegas and GAMBLE ALL WEEK LONG so some fun places to go, good sights to see, and BEST CASINOS to visit would help me alot!!! This is the part that sucks....I may have female company with me so the ranch may be out of the equation, so if you have experiences with a female going to Vegas with you...please give me a few good stops!! If I lose her by then(anything is possible in todays world) then Im quite sure I could meet some fellow MJers out there and party party party....as I would invite one of my buddies to go at that point!!! Thanks and I hope theres alot of good fun to be had.......:00hour

Ditto on the facts about the fellow member here in the Mj's community, losing a friend, family is always hard on everyone.

I guess what the philosophers have told us in the past will stand the test of time!

Fact the things that was given to us for free our friends and family our country has more value then the things we work for cars money and houses, ( but some of us realize it when its too late)

Have fun in sin city, the one you should be asking is none other then Lanny (Senor Capper) he lives and works there!

But my question to you sir is the same question that your asking but about Atlantic City and the Board walk.

I will be there for three days and two nights, staying at the Tropicana.

Good places to eat that will not cost me an arm and a leg!

Thanks I will look up Senor Capper for some insight...about AC unfortunately when I go beings its ONLY a 40 min ride for me I usually go with 1 thing in mind and thats the CRAP tables, theres a few Hangouts down there but I personally have very little experiences in them, I hit the tables win or lose then jump back in the ride and get out asap. The boardwalk itself isnt too bad but isnt as ROBUST as one would think. I play table games at Bally's and the Trop...and stay away from the BIG NAMES....Ceasers,Borgota,Trump etc...easier to draw money from the smaller joints from my experiences. I NEVER WIN AT THE BIG NAME PLACES. I would tell you about the clubs such as "the POOL" or "the B BAR" but more times then not theres a spending limit in order to get a table(totally what turned me off--we once went and in order to get a TABLE and not just stand around or fit in where you get in, they had a 2 bottle spending minimum and @ $150-$250 a bottle thats a pretty pricey table for me ontop of a cover charge of $25....but "the pool" if you need to see some hot a$$es is the place to go....girls swimming and just enjoying it) I havent said a whole lot and as I stated dont do much partying that way...Im 20 mins from Philly so the clubs are cheaper and not EVERYONE talks or dont talk to you for the type of ride you roll up in or for the size of your wallet as I experience in AC.....I find Philly easier to have fun in....AC especially on Friday, Saturday nights are show off you moolah days, the girls are exotic and plenty beautiful, but overall I wanna know who is WORKING and who is capable of being introduced to the family....hope you enjoy the stay and dont go wandering about in the city, not the safest place to be lost in....have fun and win some money is the BEST BET!!!

that's for should!!

Best advice I had was not to plan on going to any shows. Plenty to do first time without worrying about an agenda, lol!!

Stay on the strip.

I think I read where u like craps?? Not sure what limits u like to play, but if u are a low-roller, you can find cheap limit tables at Bill's Gambing Hall, Imperial Palace, Harrah's, Flamingo, and Planet Hollywood all there right together in the middle of the strip. Also, when I was there in February, the Monte Carlo was pretty dead, and they also had $5 craps going regularly.

Do you like to play poker? What else do you like to do?

Not a HIGH ROLLER FOR SURE but I like the $25 tables as I can go low then bet high if Id like......not a poker player for money but the slots dont turn me on either....so mostly will enjoy the craps, or ERRRRR black jack.....during football season if I find a GAME I could lay my eggs in that basket get drunk as I watch the game and collect my money at the end of the game? When I visit AC I play 3 card poker or CRAPS, THATS IT...too much house advantage for the rest of the games!!!

FINAL plans being made, they wanted to know when and so fourth...my sister has a few FRIENDS in the business so I had to fill in some blanks and she will be fianlizing the deal, as I said it was a gift from immediate family, will let you fellas know as soon as I know the full details!

Being this is the 1st. time for you don't try to see everything especially if you stay on the strip. Make sure you bring comfortable walking shoes because you will put some miles on. I've stayed at the TI, Mirage,Monte Carlo, Luxor ( terrible) & Harrahs enjoyed all except Luxor. There is a shopping mall next to TI that my wife ( doesn't gamble) is a must plus shops at Caesers. If you are a drinker you will be in heaven. Use the monrail system they have to go to the south or north end, the only problem with it you have to walk though the whole casnio to get it. Food is not cheap!
If you do any shows only do 1 learned my lesson years ago of doing 3 shows in 4 nites costly & a pain in the ass. Hope this helps. What a place enjoy !

Hey -

Thanks for the well wishes I really appreciate it. I love to go down to Vegas, and have probably been there at least 10 times the past 6-7 years. I love the restaurant Grand Lux Cafe at the Venetian for a tasty budget meal. If you are trying to impress your lady and want to spend some bucks Michael Minas is great (Bellagio), Delmonico's is great (Venetian), and there is another one we went to as a group with Jack (he treated us to it and that was great!!) that was really, really good - can't remember the name.

If you like Craps Casino Royale is your best bet IMO. They have 100x odds or something like that and $2-3 minimums. Blackjack is best to play downtown. I don't really get into the table games too much and for too much money. I do like to put a couple hundred on a game here and there and that's what I gamble a lot on when I'm down there. The sportsbooks that are the best in my opinion are Wynn, Bellagio, Venetian, and the Golden Nugget. Go with the flow of things there is never a loss of stuff to do. The casino's have no clocks so be sure to wear a watch or bring your cell phone.

Here is a good site:

It'll give you some good advice.
