Not really. Sitcoms and sports are huge distractions for the working man. Anything to keep them busy.

I know there are a few good sitcoms that are edgy but most are recycled crap. I think its safe to say that anything with Sheen in it is crap. You can see hot chicks anywhere if that is why you watch.

I enjoy watching both of the above. Im not sure really where your going with this Trampled. Who is it that wants to keep us busy and distracted? they are exactly what they are IMO, which is a form of entertainment. They both do keep us busy watching, but I do not think thats why they were created. Both started 100's of years ago, obviously much different back then, but sports and theatre were created a long time ago man, and i doubt it was too keep people busy back then. I dunno maybe im way off, and you are exactly right, but I try not too look to hard into things like this. Its a tv show, not sure its much more or much less then that.

It's only better because of the absolute freedom that airing on HBO allows. I think I personally slip It's Always Sunny in between the two in my rankings, but they are very close.
