SCORING
Batting
Home Runs (HR) 1 Total Bases (TB) 1
Runs Scored (R) 1 Runs Batted In (RBI) 1
Stolen Bases (SB) 1
Pitching
Innings Pitched (IP) 3 Earned Runs (ER) -2
Wins (W) 5 Losses (L) -5
Saves (SV) 3 Blown Saves (BS) -3
Strikeouts (K) 1 Shutouts (SO) 5

Any Objections to this type of scoring??

How about this for a roster?

7 SP
2 RP

1 starter for each infield position
5 outfielders.
1 extra corner infielder
1 extra middle infielder
1 utility player

So that is a total of 22 starters 9 pitchers and 13 fielders or do you guys want it more or less. This gives us a little more value on position players than last year..

Is 8 bench roster spots enough or do we need 10??
Still open to suggestions.. Can change at any time

with a roster like this, a 12x12 (all stats i listed) is usually fun and makes for need for some (and keeps it even for same amount of categories ofor batting and pitching) requires decent managing instead of loading up one position and carrying thoroughout year.

<TABLE class=teamtable><TBODY><TR class=row1><TD class=typeStandard vAlign=top width=120 align=left>Roster Positions:</TD><TD class=typeStandard vAlign=top width=410 align=left>C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, Util, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL, DL </TD></TR><TR class=row2><TD class=typeStandard vAlign=top width=120 align=left></TD><TD class=typeStandard vAlign=top width=410 align=left></TD></TR><TR class=row1><TD class=typeStandard vAlign=top width=120 align=left></TD><TD class=typeStandard vAlign=top width=410 align=left></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

i found it to be alotta fun, trying to pick up some categories, while not trying hurt existing ones.

ie. p/u carlos pena trying to get HRs, BI's and R's though with no SO category to worry about is an easy p/u as all you hurt yourself with is AVG, though with SO, you're doubly affected. It rewards people who draft well rounded players etc. same thing with innings pitched with pitchers, as fine, yes you can load up all your starters and log some serious innings, though probabaly at the cost of your era and whip... so on and so forth.

i think at minimum you need a 10x10 (categories)

a better question would be what do you think should be minimum innings pitched?, in order for pitching stats to matter (so no one can start only roy halladay and win 3 categories off of 8 or 9 inning, etc)

20?, 30?

Plus I think that is a lot of categories for a head to head league but if others like it then I am in for it.

its a head to head league. 12x12 is prolly a bit much -though stuff usually cancels itself out, though in email i sent i think 8 is a nice jump from the usual 5x5
