Each team has 5 guys on their team. EVERYONE plays the same shot or line(provided they are right-handed) so the oil on the lanes breaks down which then makes your ball hook earlier. You have to make adjustments for when the lanes dry out. I didn't, the ball nose-dived right onto the head pin and I left the splits. By the end of the game I had made the adjustment but it was too late to save the game.

What a pisser!

Thanks for sharing, all these years of bowling and I never knew that, I thought it was because of the 2 to 3 shots of vodka and 6-8 beers I drink. Dammit. Look out now, Im going pro.....

Me? I'm just one of those 185 avg guys who bowls one night a week, and can't wait for the season to end after about the third week. But you guys who have matching shirts and Sansabelts, and wheel in 150lbs of bowling balls.......I've never understood how you "stay" with one ball when the lanes break down?????

Isn't that exactly WHY you guys bring a pro shop's worth of crap along?
