First of all -- sorry about the bad pick. Four Tampa turnovers in the 2H and two easy defensive scores for the Redskins basically gift wrapped this one.
There are several reasons I don't like the OVER on Washington regular season games (without seeing the totals or considering the circumstances). This is not to say I like the UNDER, just that I'm wary about knee-jerking an "obvious" play. First, everyone in the world is going to like the OVER on these games and the totals are going to be pumped up near Rams totals at this rate. Look for totals in the high 40s on many Redskins games, especially if the defense struggles.
Next, I still don't trust the Washington starting QBs. This group is average at best. Once they face bliz packages and first team defenses for 60 full minutes, I don't think they will be nearly as successful. Washington also commits an atrocious number of penalties on offense (which tells me the units has trouble grasping the fundamentals) -- and that's bad for the OVER.
One thing in favor of the OVER -- Redskins are going to commit a lot of turnovers and that could help the scoring.
In short, I will take each game on a case by case basis. I disagree with the Redskins games being easy OVERS because the public is going to inflate the numbers.
Good luck,
Nolan Dalla
