Just got home.... left at 9:30 this morning, but went straight to the club to watch our Club Championship matches.

Getting ready to walk out the door again for a cookout, but wanted to quickly say what a fantastic time I had this weekend.

Thanks to Jack for once again putting on a first class event! What an awesome time!

Steve, Nole and Tommy were tremendous teammates! Our team really "hammed and egged" it around the golf course yesterday.

I'm glad that everyone enjoyed the rolling bar again this year. Already looking forward to next year.

THE POWER OF THE CROWN COMPELS YOU!

been home for a bit, and like others it was a great time. I had fun playing with DTB and his crew. I knew it was going to be a good time when Mike introduced himself as "swig"

Wayne (DTB) did his thing being the A player of the group, when we were all in trouble he got us to where we should be for our next shot.

Man we were on fire on the front 9, I have never played that good in a scramble on the front 9 at least not where there was only 1 par 5 on the front. On the back nine we had a lot of long 20 foot putts that we missed, and a couple putts from the fringe on the back that just rolled by, we should have finished about 10 under.

The other half of the crew did manage to keep Wayne's wife entertained for sure. Good thing she was driving, otherwise we would have been in trouble.

I would be more than happy to go play with DTB and his crew someplace else. Good thing my girl Shawna was there to keep the gps and electronic scorecard going on both carts.

What a great course. had a good lunch on Saturday with Dawgball. Maybe I can get down to see a titans game with him sometime.

Thanks to Jack, (Tonk and Kevin our two locals, and Handicapper also) for setting up this at a great place. Thanks to Betcris and Betjamiaca also

:00hour :00hour :00hour

BTW, the barefoot thing was interesting, but I didn't want any part of it.

Boy o boy, how freaking fun was that? :00hour

Tide my brother, when you just posted the Crown quote, I totally busted! That was our cry the last 5 holes(we should have gotten Steve on the Crown earlier).

I have to go to dinner at the out-laws right now but I'll be back later to share my incredible weekend with this fun bunch.

"The power of the Crown compels you!"

I'd come back around 3AM but I'd probably break a glass or 2(for those in the know). :mj07:

I'm shocked I haven't been called out for pulling a disappearing act both nights. Friday's was intentional. Last night's was accidental.

After Smurphy and I jedi'd the buffet manager, I passed out after taking a shower to "wake back up"... Oops!

I didn't remember the lipstick on the face until seeing that pic. What a weekend!

I'll post the 4,000 pics that Angela took with my camera later. Probably tomorrow after I land in NYC.

Great time, everyone! Thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it!

Nole, I had a blast with you, Tommy and Steve. What a fantastic time. I'm gonna start grunting every time I hit my driver from now on. Either that or get me some FSU socks!

there is this 1 guy that plays there alot, a#1 donkey, plays 80% of hands no matter the raise and chases to the river a whole bunch. so if your ever in hand with him , dont fold he'll even call a raise, i've never seen him walk away with money, he's in a wheelchair and has a beard, i'll point him out, a real fish

don't listen to this bart! :mj07:

I ended up not playing in a single hand of poker outside that first 60 dollar tourney. I had no desire for some reason??? I don't think bart played much if any either.

This post by handicapper is even better now since we know how he did. Be glad my advice isn't general info to the gambling public, Allan!!

Nice lick on the poker tables Clint--

When we 1st got there I was watching Bobby play black jack--must have been doing well also as he had a few black ones stacked--when I heard big commotion from 3 card poker area where my buddy was playing--come to find out he hit straight flush which paid 40/1--not sure how much he won--but took dealer a while to stack them up--he and Emily started drinking doubles in celebration afterward--which was 2 hours before we teed off--it caught up to both of em midway thru the golf.

Didn't do much myself except play video poker with wife--she hit one good lick- 4 deuces (deuces wild)which put her on plus side for trip--

Wish I'd made the bar scene--that looked like fun from pics.

Reporting from Cleveland. Not able to organize thoughts yet. Not convinced the last few days have actually happened.

That will be a tough one Jack.
Here is an idea
Maybe you could have team members of 3 teams decide. Mike Emily and myself choose shawn (bsucards) as our mvp and we do not want any prize--so that would leave 3 left between 2 teams.
Maybe each team could pick one player and if that would leave 1 prize left--which might go to another team member if they have an account there-- already as a loyalty bonus.

Kind of an abstract idea--but don't know any way to declare winner --without involving some sort of playoff.

Had a great time, met a lot of people I had been looking forward to seeing in person. Lost everbody after we ate a late dinner, saw a few in the casino, but I think the golf took a lot out of people...

Jack, if you have the scorecards, you can start with 18 going back and the lowest score wins, if there are ties keep going back until the tie is broken...

--or start on 1 and go forward--people were sober and better memories --birdie birdie birdie birdie birdie ;)

just kidding--however 18 and back would eliminate one team I know of on 18 and would hate to do that to them.

Maybe if eliminates non madjack members that were guest--and then ask who wants prize he might not have more than 4 or if he has 8 give $50 prize to each.

One method I have used in the past to break a tie, is go to the no.1 handicap hole and work from there. Example, Team A Team B both birdie the hardest or no.1 handicap hole, proceed to no.2 until a winner happens with Team C being out on the first hole. A winner would have earned it on one of the hardest holes on the course, in theory.
