Seriously, if people stop going to the theater, the business and culture of movies is going to change for the worse. :nono:

i went to the movies last week and its $9 a ticket now. what a joke. are they actually wondering why people bootleg?
did it live up to its hype freelancc? i'll probably go check it out in the next few days
i liked it.. :spotting: its a very different kind of movie but one every guy will enjoy..

You realize at some point inflation does have to kick in right? I mean if a movie was $5 10 years ago you think it still should be?
Now that being said, I don't go to the movie theatre because I like my home entertainment system and prefer to be able to snack, and pause at will if I need to piss, not to mention peace and quiet. Every time I go to the "movies" some black family piles in at the last second, sits right by me and :talk: the entire time. That isn't being racist, that is the truth....

I just went to see this movie and really liked it. Just when I was thinking "this is all great and everything but I could use a little more titty" sure enough here comes the Persian Orgy scene!
Amazing fighting scenes and really good story

normally i have similar opinions to freelanc and even blgstocks...
BUT....
just got back from the afternoon show of 300 and i thought it was one of the worst movies i've seen in a long time.
but i had low hopes going in anyway. i guess i'm not much of a guy but i need a little plot in my movies. i mean how many times can you see a guy killed or a car blow up. i mean screenwriters should spend more time on plot than blowing shit up.
this movies plot is simple. take 300 guys and make them fight 10 million in a 15 foot wide hallway. other than that there is zero plot.
but again, its just my opinion and not a surprise at all that lots of people like it and its a success at the box office.

Yeah I thought the plot could've been much better, but honestly everytime they went away from the battel scenes I wanted them to get back to the fighting just to see what crazy ass warriors they were going to fight and what cool moves they were going to use to chop em up.
When I said it was a good story I meant the story behind the movie which I have talked to a couple of people and they say it has alot of historical truths, supposedly there were a group of warriors like this, and I geuss there was even a goat herder that betrayed them and the final battel actually happened as well. I thought it was just a comic book like Sin City
