great stuff OS, I'm battling my own demons which I've just started to accept and hope to conquer much like you have..

It's always great to share these stories as it can give other's hope, especially those who are in denial or those who think there is no hope..

Congrats on your sobriety

I don't like to get personal on public forums, but
i was lying in intensive care getting somewhere around my 4th pint of blood transfusion, pancreas almost shut down, liver totally shot, hemoglobin sitting at 38-40 (normal is 140), just had a mild heart attack...a unkown lady walked in and talked to me for a long time to get thru the pain etc. and said to me your going to have to be strong, then later the team of specialists came in and said if i had another drink it would be over for me.

3 years now, and would love to have a drink...but i made my bed earlier in life and i know i can't and i know i won't.

congrats Old School and all others.

thanks for reading.

IE, I would have never guessed that from you

You are so on top of things around here

Good job on conquering your problems, it's just goes to show me shit happens to everyone, and what matters most is how you face it

Sounds like you got your shit together, good for you...and btw, how old are you?
