The Twins have not been a good proposition on the
road in 2006, but this situation looks much too good
to pass up. Francisco Liriano has transitioned from
effective reliever to sizzling hot starter (+$330, 0.56
ERA in three turns) and he's tailor made for a weak
Seattle team that is only 6-15 (-$1160) vs. lefthanders,
averaging just 3.6 runs per game in those contests.
Last year's rookie phenom Felix Hernandez has had
a disappointing second year in the majors (-$235 with
a bloated 5.78 ERA in 11 starts). The Twins have taken
four of the first five head to head matchups with Seattle
(+$270) and you can't ask for a more favorable set of
circumstances, with a superior pitcher getting a good
price in the role of visitor.
