just got the $2 win bets in and good thing (for you?) they were loading and I didn't bother to post them. NO big deal, favorites again.

I'm on the PC now and I PROB. will cap and get to post next playable. I gotta think about skipping posting when on the laptop,

edit: 9th 1,8 t/b 5,7 and win 1,3 (more on the 3)

Shoulda been profitable

Shoulda been profitable

Got it posted in time and betting them like I do worked out; that is, easy on the exactas (usually that is) and bet the side one according to how much u like each OR no side bets at all sometimes.

Worked well for the 9th with $5 on that 3, $2 on the no. 1 with the big odds.

Don't know if the 10th is playable right now.(s)

hope you interpreted correctly

In order for me to find them LOOKers , bet it, post it ya gotta be ready and online to get them in. Think I got these in HERE very shortly after they started to load. If I see hammy pretty much comes in here I'll post on days I can figure all the playables and put them all here whenever I get them done VERY early in the morning. Of course, no LOOKERs.

I caught the zackta and my 2 stinkin dollars to win on 2 hosses lost, 3rd and middle of the pack.

Let me know if you got the 10th in. if ya got time.

hi Johnnny

hi Johnnny

Maybe you are young enough, prob. not cause there's a prerequisite you gotta do before taking the course, It's very expensive when you add it all up and I had to go through it - IT IS--> OVER 40 YEARS of betting on hosses :0030 and trying everything to get them to win :s5: even played hookie from school and work (not often) x35: to get to the track; basically I'd hit the track at least once per week Like I wrote here once before, I LUVED every minute of it esp. watching them champion horses in N.Y. and N.J. (Monmouth), put a bundle at the track on Secretariat who for the first time was facing the greatest turf horses at that time, and he beat them too. I'd do it all again without a doubt if I could start all over again.

Yeah, I do some fancy statistics for each race and it it takes a little time, explaining just that would take a chapter in a book not an email, letter, or post card. It really is more about reasoning rather than capping steps and that comes from experience. Here's something that took me the last 5 years to realize :))) there ain't no handicapping sys, that gonna beat all the races - that is, these days I play horses to make moola first and for entertainment 2nd and that means that if I played the Big A or Belmont (there's even a difference between playing those two btw) like I play Philly - I'd be licking rocks at the beach for nourishment and that goes for visa versa. The handicapping tip is that you gotta watch a shitload of hosses race at only ONE WACE TWACK for a pretty long while and study the horses, trainers, jockeys, and OWNERS <--which most players don't do. And know EVERYTHING ABOUT EVERYTHING regarding that one track. Beating the horses is prob. the most difficult thing to achieve compared to beating other sports. Believe me, even after all I did, I ain't getting rich playin hosses and be careful if I write something like "I'm gonna put 3 figures on a horse I just luv today" cause my record sez doing that means the horse will run out of the moola. Been there and done that more than once.

Forget emails, today I didn't even have the time to get my bet in to collect my winning nos, exacta ($91 in the 4th race), I was typing in here. My wife broke her leg a few months ago while going up one of them ceiling garage ladders while bringing stuff in the attic. Her put together operation didn't work out at all, leg was crooked as all hell a couple of months after the operation; she got a knee implant a month ago and is doing better now, but doing everything around here AND still helping her these days gives me very little spare time. Just writing this took up some time over 2 days.

Just sit back Johnny, have a beer while I do the figuring work and bet my stinkin one to five dollar bills plicks and see if you like them while I'm still around here and maybe we'll make some loot . :toast: BTW years ago my sister and bro -in= law lived in Warminster and I'd take a ride up Street Rd. to good ole Philly Park.

Thank you for all the information. I have been going to the track for the past 25 years (Monmouth Park) and my favorite way to bet the horses is to view them on the track as they warm up for the race. I can read the program inside and out but I usually pick my longshots by how they respond on the track. I never really followed the owners but i find it very interesting that you said that. I live about 20 min away from Monmouth and if you ever come down to the shore for the races shoot me an email and maybe we can meet up. Thanks again.

When I lived in N,J. I picked certain friends that I thought would be good company with me on a trip to the track and I believe you woulda been one of them. It didn't bother me to go alone but did enjoy it much more with good company. I still have friends in N.J. and they came down here to visit me a couple of times; it made more sense that they came down here to get a break from the cold N.J. winter, even if just for a few days than me going up north.

I went to Monmouth maybe 10 times in all those yrs. in Jersey'; lost 80 % of them and N.Y. twacks treated me much better and, in fact, were closer.

Asfaras looking for LOOKERS (horses that look like wieners) IS important to me as well and it's a problem for me when I want to post plays in the forum because that dang Philly twack rushes them horses from the post parade to the starting gate MUCH too fast. .Puts me in a tough spot having me to have to make a final decision whether I play what I posted and handicapped or make changes based on how they looked. Can't tell ya how many times I'd post my plicks here and then rush to get the bet in and they were off and running.
The best place to watch them is to see how they react when they just get their feet on the race track surface. I guess you have to be at the track to be able to do that. I watch them as far as I can see them on my monitor or TV.

No secrets when it comes to checking the horses out, it's only common sense to separate the deadbeats from the ones that look like they're good and ready to run. But I'll share with you something that many people lookers may not know ---> Doesn't happen often, but whenever you see a horse shake it's head quickly way up and way down consistantly (like it's STRONGLY agreeing with whatever you said to it) DO play that horse - no if, ands, or buts.

Sorry to write that I'm not a very consistent poster, but I'll try to post whenever I can.

Good Luck, Johnny
