team that got screwed with seeding and placement the most:
maryland....talk about no respect for the defending tourney champion. shouldnt that give you a somewhat favorable draw the next time in the tourney? terps are easily the most dangerous 6 seed in tourney and could make a legit run deep into the tourney. but they could also get bounced in the 1st round. defending champs draw a damn good unc-wilmington team in the 1st round? doubt williams is thrilled with this draw. if terps survive their 1st round game- they could be VERY dangerous. their game with wilmington scares me more than xavier. go figure
mid-majors that could have made a run if not for a rough draw:
creighton and central michigan. this is an intriguing matchup, but it sucks that theyre playing in the 1st round. and it sucks for 2 reasons.
1) it means one of them goes home the first night of the tourney
2) the winner has no chance of getting past duke 2 days later. as much as people want to believe in central michigan or creighton, the fact is duke will rip apart either team. as much as i like the mac and mid-majors, devils will smack either of these teams- and thats just being real.
committee should have done a better job placing these 2 good mid-majors away from each other, especially the first game.

team that deserves to be here, but most dont think so:
alabama. they stumbled in the sec, but you gotta reward that schedule, plain and simple. and now that theyre in, they might go sneak up on people
SLEEPER THAT WINS THEIR FIRST TWO GAMES OUTRIGHT
tulsa, which will set up a rematch of last years kentucky/tulsa game in the tourney, in which tulsa performed very well before just running out of gas.
