BGH --

First of all, nice picking this year. A quick glance shows you're up a fair bit, but keep in mind a couple things.

At least for the benefit of the forum, post your lines with your plays. You seem to be about 19-7 right now on posted plays, but that could have you anywhere from about 2 units up to 30 units up.

Look at Nick's stats from last year. He was well under .500 game-wise, but well up money-wise.

And, you probably did go 3-0 yesterday, but it seems as if you only posted the White Sox. At least for your cred on the forum, your posted record should reflect that.

Keep up the good work.

Who are you to cast stones? If you follow this guy he has been money all year. When you have a track record, go ahead and feel free to criticize. Until then get off your high horse and establish yourself.

Whatever the deal with Hunter was by not posting his other plays, it can happen. Maybe he did not have time to post his other two games--I don't know. It is not like he is charging for picks.

Nick was right when he said he only posted the ChiSox play. However he did not try to call him out about his track record.

Listen i just post the games I like. I bet the same amount for all games and i just post a record that reflects my overall winners. I dont see why it is such a big deal that evreyone needs to know how much i play on a game. I am just giving insight on games i like. If you or anyone else does not like it dont read my posts.
I am very good at baseball and dont need to do this, i find this fun and challenging to keep posting winners and i will continue to do so.
As for yesterday i did post my other plays just not under my post, but along with someone else. Who cares anyway, arent we all in this together anyway. we are all here to make money.
I will continue to post and if you dont like it dont read it. i am just having fun and tyring to make some money.
some of you guys just get to worked up in this whole thing.
Finally if you are relying on my selections or anyone else for that matter you need to reevaluate your plan. I thought this site was to gather information from numerous sources and then make your plays, I listen to everyone on this site to see what they say and then i continue with my selection.
now that this is out of the way i will be back later with my picks.......

The amount is not what anyone is interested in, I don't think. But if someone is following you, they might be interested that you took the Yanks -180, while they can only get the Yanks -200.

Surely, there's a line where even if you like the Yankees, you would not take them (say -400 or something).

I hope you didn't take my post as disparaging. Everyone is here to share information, but a major part of that information in capping bases is what line you're playing.

As I said before, keep up the good work. Thanks for posting.

BGH keep posting up your winners man, who the hell cares how much your betting on them and what your unit count is. If someone wants to do the math daily the numbers are available I believe. Why would some of you idiots get on a guys ass about bookkeeping when he consistantly posts winning selections ? Take the picks and decide how you want to bet them and leave the BGH alone. Where the hell does it say you have to post a record ?

I say, "Who cares what your record is?" If you check out Nick's Free Picks, last year he went 145-165 in baseball and came out $4000 to the good.

Again, I don't think anyone cares about how much BGH bets, but there's not much point to baseball capping without posting a unit count.

A guy can be 20-10, but if every winner he picked was -210, he's in the HOLE.

BGH is rolling big time. He is posting winners after winners. Keep up the good work.

However, posting the pick with a line is very useful for the rest of us to look at how one capper is doing. After all, the bottom line ($$$) counts in betting baseball. I think SAM's method allows others to keep track. He doesn't update his money +/-, but at least he provides a way for us to do the accounting, if we choose to. At the same time, we have no idea how much he bets per game.

BGH,

As you know, very few gamblers are able to win money on their own so lots of people tail others from time to time. I fully admit that I tail I.E. and a few others from time to time when I take days off on a down cycle. The point is that those people who use this forum to tail plays from time to time like it when the handicapper only tracks the record of plays posted on their page. It would be ideal in a sport like baseball or hockey to post "units" since plays are made on a moneyline, but it's your right to only post your record if you want.

Thing about it is, if you are only concerned about your own profits and you are just posting whatever plays you feel like to help handicappers that might not be able to win as much as you, then why post a record at all? Just post your plays and let their results speak for themselves. If you are going to post a record because you either want the adulation that comes with a good posted record or because you want people that might tail your plays to know how you have done this season, then post a record that is accurate based on the plays that have been *posted* and that also keeps track of units won and lost for a sport like baseball or hockey.
