The blue color on the home page when I hit "new posts" is too dark because the words are dark blue too. Make the words white or make that color lighter or grey....

Until I get that fixed, use 'What's New'. I can't even function without the New Posts feature but What's New is tolerable.

Is that background too light? It sure helps when reading New Posts.

Saving this here in case I need it back. #7393a9

Yes, I think something closer to these would be better.

Just trying to read New Posts until I get that fixed but I'll try the lighter of your 2 selections.

What's New uses activitystream.css

having trouble identifying which css sheet control new posts

The damn background carries over to New Posts for some reason. It even carries over to the header of posts.

maybe search.css

Probably search but that still doesn't explain the post header.

Just spit balling and have not read the whole thread so if it has been mentioned my apologies. First, I assume you are seeing something different than the rest of us as I could still see new posts when you changed the background to that other blue. Second, most places I have seen simply put a new solid layer for the messages and such on top of the background so that there is no transparency allowing the background to show through. This essentially makes the original background a border. As it sits now it would seem that you will have to adjust everything based on you backgrounds because they bleed though rather than building your message layer(middle 3/4 of screen) and then just adding a border color. Like I said, might be talking out of my ass and none of this may make sense. Great job so far:0074

You could 'borrow' the color scheme of another forum... google image results return some decent options.
