A Vegas Trip Report - March 2015

Leave Wednesday 7:03 est arrive Vegas 8:03 local time.


That's a 4 hour nap. I'm usually asleep before take off.


Sixfive gonna be picking me up at LAS and we are heading to MSS for checkin and then meet Smurphy and yyz at Boars Heads Bar prior to Pizza Rock for some of the best pizza. I'll shoot you guys a text, Dead Money and Dr Feelgood, and hopefully you can join us.


After that, who knows. It's Vegas!


It'll be hit and run all night with the VP and craps I suspect.


I'll be posting a ton of pictures of the adventures. I'll try posting pics as things happen but most pics will be posted in the mornings or early afternoon.


I'm staying Wednesday and Thursday at MSS and then Friday through Monday at Planet Hollywood.

With the conference championships going on all week, I imagine I'll be parked in a sportsbook for many hours as well.


Some plans and goals:

Hit at least 1 Royal.
Hit a hard 8 3x's. $25 + $150 +$600 = $5400
Pizza Rock for the most amazing pizza
A Coney Dog at The D
Oxtail soup with Dead Money
A good surf and turf meal
Baked Italian Sub at Triple 7 Brewery
Meatball Sub at earl of Sandwich
An afternoon at Ellis Island for craps and the ribs
An afternoon at Peppermill for lunch and VP
Many hours at Boars Head playing VP
Make $4100 betting hoops. Smurph and I have a great plan
Many hours at various sportsbooks
Many 190's
Having fun with good friends

Just got back....

Just got back....

I just got back in February, it was a lot of fun. You should be glad you're staying downtown, I found it A LOT more fun than the strip this time. Here are a few tips on what I really enjoyed:

The gambling downtown was just SO MUCH better than the gambling on the strip. I just found it to have a better vibe and they had lower minimums, better odds. Won big down here one day.

A few new cool casinos opened up downtown, check them out. One had plasmas everywhere and would be a great place to watch sports.

If you like Shrimp, don't miss the Golden Gate shrimp cocktail. My wife and I both got one along with a plate of potato skins for under $20. Enough to fill us up for lunch and a great meal.

We stayed in Paris adjacent to Planet Hollywood and Bally's last time. Ton of entertainment and restaurants in this three way strip, I did not know before you could easily get from one to another and that they're connected (Ballys and Paris). Planet Hollywood may be connected as well. I loved this arrangement, but I may consider staying in the Nugget again soon.

I'll roll in about 1pm tomorrow. I plan on checking in, and grabbing a paper and the daily sheets from the book, and hitting the pool area for a couple hours. I REALLY need some fresh air and that 80 weather to help shake this goddamned flu!

I'd like to get with Shane for 3-4 hours before you and Clint show up, just so I can pop a royal or 4 aces and rub it in! We'll see how things shake out.
