AAU Coaches/Members Questions

Anyone run a AAU Team now or in the past? Our Basketball Club is looking to join AAU and I'd like to hear the good & bad....We're not looking so much as to playing an AAU Schedule but taking advantage of the benefits that goes along with the membership....Insurance, Non Profit Beni's ect...

Created one in Boulder that became huge fast. Started one here when I moved. We had 9 teams this year in my 2nd year. :00hour

Record Keeping?

Yes, have run both Agent's AAU teams from the standpoint of finances, filing for nonprofit, created websites, etc. He does the *easy* work of coaching and networking. I can answer any questions you have from this point of view. I have run a few businesses - all small, but this is pretty easy, after you get through the laborious process of filing for tax-exempt status.

And, you can run it for awhile before you file for tax-exempt (actually easier that way), so you don't have to go through all that right away.
