What is it?? .. . two more days of this place? Hope so.
First off... my highest praises to the Intelligence and Military personnel who accomplished their mission yesterday. Russia had heavy artillery and fire power in that part of the world about 30 yrs. ago vs. pea shooters AND STILL they gave it up, trying to fiight in those tough conditions.
Ok, back to business. Got the first 4 races done and here's what I came up with the handicapping part. That is - without seeing them first.
First Race
No. 6 figures pretty strong. Yeah, ya get the usual vacation baggage with this one, but he shows that he can handle turf, ran with better ones at Monmouth last yr. and has 4 workouts to get ready for today.
No. 2 looks good enough to get in the "magic nos. . exacta. You know, like box 2-6. At a 12-1 M.L. (prob. get better than that) a 2-6, either way, should payoff very nicely.
No. 10 isn't a "Watch out" hoss like that Femme hoss was the other day, but this one is showing signs of life lately and has a good trainer. Live LONG shot candidate here.
2nd Race
Really, really tough. That usually means nice payouts, only thing is.... . YA GOTTA PICKEM to get it.:0030
Liked the no. 7 (7-2 M.L.) at Philly in her last race and she didn't quite meet my expectations and ran 3rd. Giving this one another chance today. She's consistant early speed in just about every one of her races, and not the flash in the pan thing either.
The other two are the nos. 5 and 9 and both are double digit odds. Ain't gonna let either one win without me either.
3rd. Race
Yeah right; like there ain't enough question marks at this place without adding a few first-time-any-surface starters in the mix. Errr... No Play.
4th Race
This one is Verly Interlesting. The 11 and the 12 and maybe even the 10 could make a real race of it, but the No. 1 can hangem out there and wear em down a plenty. No. 1 has the speed to dictate in this race. IF those outsiders are persistant enough, thems could be the ones to wear out he no. 1 though. If that scenario developes ... I think the 11, Peaches, is the one with enough stamina to hang on and take it. Pretty sure the connections of Peaches aim her for these AC turf reces every year and fully expect her to win here.
Remember L A Girl last week with that absolutely RIDICULOUS morning line of 99-1? Well the no. 2 in this race is no LA Girl, but 99-1 is just as ridiculous. I got 2 bucks on the hopes of proving it to Win/Place that just might prove this point.
Guess that's it for now. Don't expect any company, so .. Good Luck for the rest of the day.
